At the time we negotiated the purchase the center console lid was broken and completely disconnected from the console. We were told parts/labor would cost $400 to fix the console, it was agreed that we would split the cost of repairs with Evans. The repairs were completed in Mid-September 2014 and everything appeared to be in order. Roughly a year later, late September 2015, I came out to the vehicle to discover that the lid had separated from the plastic assembly that comprises the entire lid. It was at this point that I discovered that when Evans' service department made the repairs they reused the upper lid component from the broken console (the part covered in leather). The part had a split down the middle inside where the plastic supports the leather, furthermore two plastic supporting rings that hold the shaft to the latch were missing as well as one of the threaded standoffs where the screws hold everything together go. Upon closer inspection I was able to determine the reason the repair failed. First off, since one of the standoffs were broken, Evans used a larger screw in an attempt to catch what little plastic remained. Secondly, with the support rings missing, all of the pressure from the spring that operates the latch pushed not on those rings, but instead on the lower plastic piece. It was most likely never designed to support this pressure as the other remaining standoff near the latch assembly succumbed to the pressure and also split off. Shortly after this failure I approached Evans about the issue, explained the situation and that the repairs were of obvious inferior quality. They inspected the failure, priced parts, then said they'd get back to me on whether or not sales would be willing to foot the bill for the supplemental repair. I later received a call from a service tech informing me that sales would not pay for the repairs. He in turn transferred me to the manager of the service department, during our discussion he claimed that the repairs were all done appropriately and due to being outside of warranty they'd do nothing about it. After further discussion he said he would speak to their customer relations manager to see if they'd be willing to perform a good will repair. This call took place on the 9th, he said he'd get back to me the following Monday. Monday came and went and heard nothing, I tried calling in again the following Thursday, leaving a voicemail with another manager and also have not heard a single word from them. We paid $200 to have the console of this vehicle fixed, and while repairs were certainly performed, they were not done to even a reasonable level of standards. Furthermore, we were never informed that they'd be reusing parts from the previous console. The fact that they used a different sized screw indicates they were well aware that reused part was not fully intact. I fully believe that this repair failed because previously broken parts were used. I believe that Evans was dishonest in reusing parts without providing any notification to us whatsoever. In my mind, fixed doesn't mean it fails a year later. Fixed in my mind means it works and will last as long as it would have when new from the factory. We did not receive $200 nor $400 worth of service or parts. More

My wife and I were ready to purchase a 2013 Corolla LE and contacted Evans through the internet. Chris Noble, an internet sales consultant at Evans, called us up and we discussed price right over the pho and contacted Evans through the internet. He was very up front and honest with us about the total price of the car. When we came into the dealership, he was very respectful and worked hard to meet our needs. Evans had all of colors to choose from as they have huge inventory of Toyota's, so they had the color that I wanted. Chris spent extra time going over how to work the accessories in the car, which was awesome. When we went to buy, the price was exactly what we had discussed. To complete our buying experience we stopped in to see the accessory guy and finance guy, both we very nice and did not pressure us to buy anything extra. Our 2011 Toyota Camry XLE V6 is the best car we have ever owned! It is quiet, it is comfortable, and it is a pleasure to drive. We can take a trip in comfort and get over 30 mpg. My suggestion to anyone who decides to do business with this dealership, take some sort of recording device with you so can prove what they tell you. You just might not get what was agreed upon. Here's our experience: Before taking the trip Evans Toyota, my mom had a phone conversation with Tim (salesman) about a van. When mom finished the conversation, she felt confident she would be able to purchase a van for a certain price as long as she was paying cash. When we arrived at the dealer, we were told the van was traded in when the previous owner came in for a routine oil change. The dealership was only in possession of one ignition key with no keyfob. When asked about it, we were told the previous owner didn't have them with him when he traded the car; but they fully expected to have them from the owner within a few days. We were also told that if the previous owner did not turn in the keys and keyfob that the dealership would have them made for the vehicle. My first clue of a problem should have been when I asked the salesman, Tim, how long they had the vehicle and he told us they had the van for two weeks (really, would a dealer allow a local trade-in go two weeks without paying the person who traded in a personal visit). After looking the vehicle over and taking it on a test drive, it was time to negotiate price. At this time, we were told the lowest price they would take was $2700 higher than the price mentioned during the phone conversation. At one point, the salesman asked us if we seriously thought they would except $2700 lower than their asking price. So apparently, we should have known he (being a used car salesman) would say anything to get a 70 year old lady to pay a visit to their store. To say the least Tim was fairly condescending during the negotiation. At one point, Tim provided a CarFax report. As he was "discussing" the latest counter offer given by my mother, I read through the report. To my dismay, I determined that the vehicle was not traded into the dealership; but instead, had been bouncing around several dealerships and a couple auto auctions. The dealership had in fact purchased the vehicle approximately 2 weeks ago from an auction house. Once a price was agreed upon, the purchase agreement indicated the dealership would correct an issue we discovered with a rear seat belt and provide the remote keyfobs for the vehicle. The salesman also agreed to deliver the vehicle to my mother's house (2 hours from the dealership). A few days later, mom received a call that her vehicle was ready for delivery. She asked about the keyfobs and was told that they would provide one key and keyfob. She was pretty upset about this and called me at work. I placed a call into the Salesman and he tried to tell me that they were going to provide the keys only if they were turned in by the previous owner. I told him that since he had lied about how they obtained the vehicle, I doubt they will get the key from the previous owner and that I expected the dealership to make good on making keys for the vehicle. Since it was more than evident that he wasn't willing to make good on the agreement, I placed a call into the management of the dealership. After about an hour, I received a return call from the used car manager, Dan. I explained our experience with Dan. He agreed that we should have two set of keys because the vehicle had two when it was new. He agreed (in writing) to provide another set regardless of whether they received them from the auction house or not. We waited approximately 3 weeks with no word from the dealership. I placed a call to Dan and he agreed to provide another set of keys. However, we would have to drive to the dealership if we wanted to avoid paying another dealer fees to program the remote. This seemed fair. He asked for us to call before making the trip so they could have them ready. Today we called to make arrangements. Unfortunately, Tim said he knew nothing about the agreement. Dan was not available so mom talked with another manager, Rick. After a bit of time, mom received a call from Tim who said he would be looking for us to arrive later today to finish the transaction. After driving 2 hours, we arrive at the dealership only to find they will not provide another key for the ignition. They are only going to provide the keyfob. But, they will be happy to sell us a replacement ignition key (it was at this point, I blew my gasket). I asked to talk with Dan and was told he was not working today. So, I talked with Rick instead. I wanted to let him know that this was the worst experience we had ever had when buying a vehicle. I wanted to let him know that I would do what was in my power to let as many people know about this experience. With a smug smile on his face, he said is just all about a key? I said it was. When I wouldn't agree that I wouldn't tell people about the experience if he provided a key, he said he would not spend the money on a key because I probably wouldn't be happy anyway. Basically, what he did was guarantee that I write this review. While I would still have been pretty irritated with the dealership and would not have personally done business with them again, I would have calmed down and dropped the issue. I wouldn't have been able to recommend other use this dealership; but again, I would not have bothered to spend the time to write review and post it to as many sites as I can find willing to listen. I just want to say thanks to everyone at Evans Toyota. I have purchased several cars in my life and I have never felt this confident that I did the right thing. I went to Evans, only knowing that I wanted something nice with good gas mileage. I told Matt what I was looking for and he suggested a car that he thought would be a great fit. Well it ended up being the perfect fit for me and I bought it at a fair market value. I probably won't be buying another car for several years, as this one is very solid, but when the time comes I will be heading back to Evans. In the meantime, I will recommend to all of my friends and family to go see Matt Traylor at Evans Toyota! More

I’ve never been so disappointed in getting my Toyota serviced. I took my 2009 Corolla in for a cam shaft bearing repair, which was only suppose to take 1 to 2 days. Long story short, it took them 2 tries to repair the initial issue, which was bad enough, but when I got the car back it had a rough idle. They could never determine the issue even after I took it in 6 different times for the same issue, they tried to tell me that the issue was unfixable and then proceeded to get nasty with me, I ended up walking away....talk about not wanting to own up to a problem they created. I would never recommend Evans Toyota for anything; go to a different dealership to get your Toyota car/truck serviced. More
