After visiting two other Subaru dealers in New England and not having a very positive experience (dirty dealerships, inattentive sales staff, poorly kept cars, very few options), I opted to give it one mo and not having a very positive experience (dirty dealerships, inattentive sales staff, poorly kept cars, very few options), I opted to give it one more try and went to Exeter Subaru. It was a night and day difference - the dealership was excellent, the staff treated me extremely well, and they had plenty of cars on hand. I worked with Daniel, who was friendly, knowledgable and most importantly didn't treat me in the usual "car salesman" fashion. There were no long hours at the dealership waiting on paperwork, no waiting for 12 trips back and forth to the "manager's office" to negotiate price, and most importantly - no long and pointless wasting of my time. I went in, drove the car, had all of my questions answered, negotiated a fair price for the car and my trade-in, and drove it off the lot - exactly what a car purchasing experience should be. I was looking for a very specific trim/color package, and the folks at Exeter Subaru had it on the lot and ready to be picked up within two days. Daniel answered all of my questions, had the car prepped and ready when he said he would, and kept in touch with me through the whole process. Like most folks these days, I'm a busy guy, and knowing that Daniel and everyone else at Exeter Subaru valued my time made for one of the best, easiest, and most hassle-free car buying experiences I've ever had. We learned later that their salesmen staff are hired based on the fact that they have never been "car salesmen" before, which allows the dealership to train them the way they would like. It shows and makes the experience better than you expect when shopping for a car. And the dealership is very nice, clean, and comfortable. More
