While I had heard a lot of great things about Exeter Subaru, I think the thing that made my experience so enjoyable was working with such an overall awesome salesman - Dan Maynes. Never once during any of my trips to and from the dealership did he try to pressure me or persuade me into making a purchase. Right from the start he was very thorough and wanted to make sure that we found the vehicle that was right for my wife and I. Once we decided upon a vehicle with our "must-have" options, he worked very hard to get us an amazing deal on the car. Once we had come to an agreement, he took time to make sure that my wife and I were completely comfortable with the agreement before any ink was put to paper. In the end, we left with an awesome car and a new found appreciation for Dan and Exeter Subaru. To anyone who is considering purchasing a vehicle from Exeter Subaru, please take my advice and seek out Dan Maynes. You will not regret it! More

I would like to preface my review of Exeter Subaru by saying that I had purchased three new Subarus from my previous dealer and was very happy with their price and service. My last Subaru was totaled in an accident and I needed to find a used one. I happened to be in the vicinity of Exeter Subaru and decided to stop by and see what they had to offer. Not only did I find the perfect vehicle but great service as well. Product specialist, Jennifer Morse, is extremely knowledgeable, professional and I found working with her a pleasant experience. Business manager, Greg Perrotti, enhanced that experience by arranging reasonable financing at a great rate. I am almost looking forward to having my vehicle serviced to determine if that division of Exeter Subaru meets or exceeds my previous dealer experience and continues my new relationship with them. My guess is that they will because both Jennifer and Greg mentioned during our conversations how much they enjoyed working for Exeter Subaru. To me that says a lot. More

I never had bought a car on my own before, but Mike made the experience feel comfortable and not intimidating at all. I didn't find the car I came in looking for (a used Subaru Forester) but I walked away more than happy with my final purchase of a used Honda CRV, which had been someone's trade in. Car shopping isn't exactly what I'd consider a fun activity - big purchases/decisions like buying a car can be nerve wrecking - but Exeter Subaru made it as painless as possible. My only complaint would be that I wasn't able to get the crack in the windshield fixed before picking up the vehicle and now have to go back to get it done. Either way, I'd definitely take a friend there to buy a car, and would go back myself in the future. More

I was interested in a new Subaru Forester, and John Webster provided a thorough overview of the car during the test drive. I do have to agree that this dealership takes a refreshingly low-key approach to sales and made the effort to provide me with a deal I could live with. I’m very pleased with my new vehicle, my interactions with John, and anticipate that any maintenance services will be just as satisfactory. I felt welcomed and at ease the entire time I was at Exeter Subaru. I was considering two different pre-owned Foresters and never felt pressured to go with the newer, more expensive model. The only downside is that the dealer was so busy that we ended up waiting over 1.5 hours until we could sit with the sales manager to sign the final paperwork. My wife Sarah and I came into the dearlership to look at a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer Premier to replace our current 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Premier. We were then greeted by Tim who sat with us from the test drive through the sale of the vehicle to us. He was very friendly and easy to talk to and made the entire experience very enjoyable. Everyone we met along the way while there was very nice and helped with various aspects of the transaction with a smile. Sarah, being a customer serviced focused consumer, really liked the binder on each desk which helped us to get to know Tim, not just as a sales guy, but on a more personal level. In all the experiences I have had at various dealerships in my life, this was by far the most enjoyable and comfortable. Not only did Tim sell us a great vehicle but when we needed to find a good place to eat before we headed home to MA, he recommended a nice little Italian place around the corner that served really good food.
