The overall experience was great. Be aware that Exeter Subaru's test drive policy is for the sales staff to accompany you on the test drive. Other dealerships send you out on your own. This made the wait to test drive a little longer, which was somewhat frustrating. However, in the end we appreciated having John in the car with us. He was able to point out various features and compare the two cars we were test driving. This was extremely helpful in helping us to make our decision between two Subaru models. John was great to work with, answered all of our questions and was extremely responsive. I would do business with Exeter Subaru in the future. More
I originally contacted Exeter Subaru because I was interested in the Mazda 6 that they had used. Unfortunately the day I called was the day before someone was coming to purchase the car. I then looked interested in the Mazda 6 that they had used. Unfortunately the day I called was the day before someone was coming to purchase the car. I then looked at other dealers but had already submitted my credit application to Exeter Subaru previously. After many failed attempts to find the right dealer who had used a Mazda 6 I decided to take another look at Exeter Subaru. I then saw they had a Mazda 3 and since I was interested in the Mazda 6 I figured the Mazda 3 would be the next best thing. Well they also sold that before I could come in and test drive it. So I was a little discouraged at this point but again I already had my credit application submitted so I decided ok why not I'll go and just look at the lot. Upon arriving at Exeter Subaru I wound up waiting probably 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. This was no fault of their own because they were super busy and that to me is a sign that this might be the "right" place. So I wanted to see why everyone was so interested in doing business with these people. After I finally got to speak with someone they directed me to Jennifer Morse and she was very kind and polite and had a big smile. I told her about my situation of them selling the 2 cars I was previously interested in and she said lets take a look at the lot and see if anything catches your eye. As we talked more I told her what things I was specifically looking for that I thought those other cars provided. We then perused through a number of cars before finally dwindling it down to 2 other cars that I was highly interested in. I told her about the one I really wanted but I felt it was out of my price range due to my current credit rating. So she suggested we just test drive it to get a feel for it. After test driving the car I was sold. I knew I wanted it but I was not sure I would get approved for it. The whole time Jennifer was very supportive of the fact she thought I would be able to get the car and if it was the car I wanted that she would do what she could for me to drive away in that car. I test drove the car Monday and Thursday after everything was said and done I drove away with that very car. The final monthly payment turned out to be a higher than I was originally comfortable with, but I got approved for that car so I decided to go with the payment and it is within my budget. I am very happy to say I am thoroughly enjoying this vehicle and my entire experience with Jennifer at Exeter Subaru was fun and uplifting for me as well as for her. I have already told several people about Exeter Subaru and I plan on bringing at least one friend there in the summer to look at cars for herself, and I am bringing her directly to Jennifer Morse. More
Looking at the Exeter Subaru website, I found an Audi A4 which Mike Emerson was kind enough to tell me about. We went on a test drive and found an issue with the car (check engine light) that Mike had corre which Mike Emerson was kind enough to tell me about. I found Mike to be honest, helpful and extremely trustworthy who I hope to purchase another car from in the future. Thanks Mike!! More

I walked in after calling on a used 2005 Subaru Forester. I had spoken on the phone with Brianna a few times and she had send me photos of the car I was interested in. Eric walked out and was ridiculously friendly and easy going. During the test drive we chatted and halfway through the drive I knew I was buying the car. Eric made the car buying process not only pleasant, but enjoyable, I didn't think that was possible. I purchased my new to me car and was elated the rest of the day. Eric was friendly, personable and not even an iota pushy. If I or anyone I know needs a car in the future, I will send them to Exeter. More
Knowing I wanted to buy an AWD/4WD vehicle I stopped by the dealership having never owned a Subaru before. I took a car for a test drive where Jennifer proved to be very knowledgeable, proceeding to enlighten me as to what makes Subaru cars different and showing me all the features of the car I was driving. I would definitely suggest stopping by and talking with Jennifer as she will try to find you a car that fits your needs and wants within your budget, if possible. She was willing to test drive more than one car, going the extra mile, literally. More
Exeter Subaru gave me the best deal around on my brand new 2014 Subaru Forester. I went to Exeter Subaru a couple months ago looking at Imprezas, I was just browsing so I didn't making a purchase. I worked with Mike Emerson, who was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. He showed me everything that I needed to know about the impreza even though I wasn't sure I was going to make the purchase. Mike wasn't pushy nor did he call me a million times after I left the dealership asking if I bought/found a car elsewhere. A couple months later I went to a different Subaru dealership where I fell in love with the 2014 Forester. The guy at the other dealership was good, but he wasn't nearly as thorough or polite as Mike at Exeter Subaru. So I went back to Mike at Exeter a few days later and he got me an even better deal and I signed on my new Forester that day. Mike came in on his day off so I could get my new car at a time that was convenient for me! He went over EVERY possible button and function that the Forester has to offer, and I couldn't be happier with it. Everyone at Exeter seemed kind and sincere, and their service center is amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Exeter Subaru if your in the market for a new Suby...and please ask for Mike Emerson; he is the best sales person I have EVER dealt with and I promise you will be highly satisfied with your overall experience when you leave. I just ended up buying the subaru because i spent the whole day in there otherwise i wouldn't have bought it. I drove one and half hours to get there and The first thing i asked even before test driving the car was if i could take the car home the same day because i needed the car for the next day to be able to go to work, the salesman Eric assured me that i could do that, that was 3pm. After seating is his desk for 3 hours waiting for the papers to be done because they didn't have enough staff he told me a couldn't take the car but i could take one of their cars and return on the next week, so i took the deal. Two more hours went by and he said the paper work couldn't be done because it was too late(8pm), i was really pissed because i waited the whole day and then he told me to go somewhere to eat and be back in a half our and the paper would be done. I came back and waited another hour after the paperwork was done by the the FINANCER, GREG witch was a xxxxxx, instead of apologizing because the wait time he was making jokes about it saying that he needed to get home also, he got mad about the fact that i didn't wanna wait until the next day to do the paperwork, of course not because i live too far and i had waited all day already and nothing was done, so GREG chose the bank that gave me the highest apr right after assuring me that with my credit score i would get a very low apr, so i got almost 7% and he even told me to go refinance with DCU which i got 1.98% apr because he said it was too late(9:30pm) to do it. He also got really mad after i refused to buy those WORTHLESS and EXPENSIVE warrantees that he offered me, he was saying that my car was going to brake and that my car has no warrant after making me buying the car saying that the car was a "subaru certified" and it had 100k miles or 7 years power-train warranty. And after the deal was closed they didn't want give the promised car for me to drive until mine was delivered. Overall its just a bad place to buy a car, after all these hours, headache and stress no manager even came to apologize. They are not flexible on prices, not a penny discount. They had no clue about state laws, i had the hardest time registering the car and i only got the car 3 days later. They also were pressuring me to return their rental car and mine was not even ready to be delivered. I hope someone read this and don't make the same mistake i did by going there. More
