I couldn't have asked for a better first time buyer experience. I think my favorite part of the experience was he also was able to talk to me about performance in the car and upgrading it. My experience with Exeter was long distance as I live in New York. Hello to Anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle. I just bought a 2010 Subaru Forester on Friday, April 15th. No Buyer's Remorse. I stopped into the Exeter Subaru Dealership about two months back a just bought a 2010 Subaru Forester on Friday, April 15th. No Buyer's Remorse. I stopped into the Exeter Subaru Dealership about two months back and met Ryan Kelly. I was considering replacing my Jeep which I had owned for 13 years and it had 214,000 miles on it. A great vehicle! However, because Jeeps are not getting a very good rating from Consumer Reports I decided to try out some other vehicles. Subaru being one of them. I had such a great first visit and upon test driving the Subaru Forester decided this may be the vehicle I would purchase when the time is right. I received a call from Ryan a couple of weeks later saying the dealership had gotten in a 2010 - five speed with a 150 miles on it. I ended up test driving this vehicle three times and even went back after hours with my sister to look at it a little more to make sure this was a good move. The dealership also felt like the kind of place that one could trust with maintenance and repairs. I set up last Friday to stop into the dealership to see if they would give me what I was comfortable with regarding a trade-in. They did! I had a girlfriend who was visiting and she came with me. I can honestly state that I find Ryan Kelly to be the best car salesman I have ever encountered...EVER ENCOUNTERED! Some reasons why: Ryan approached our entire sales experience as an adventure. I was VERY specific about my price parameters and he happily took that challenge and NEVER tried to woo me to a higher price point. That in itself is very impressive and has earned him my business for life. His personality/attitude is friendly and open; he was quick to research the answer to any question of mine to which he did not immediately know the answer. His follow up has also been amazing. He called twice to make sure all our needs were met as well as sent a long handwritten note. In the past I have received many cards thanking me for my business from many different sales people. They all were a pre-printed card with a scribbled "thank you" at the bottom. Ryan Kelly took the time to handwrite an actual letter-which I find to be a small miracle in this day and age! What is most impressive about all of this is that I bought a very low priced used vehicle (Ryan's commission was probably just enough to pay for a nice lunch) but I was treated as if I had purchased limited edition Ferrari! I would recommend that Exeter Subaru-which is an excellent dealership by the way-do whatever they can to keep Mr. Kelly, because it won't be long before some high-end dealership swoops in to steal Ryan for their own sales team.
