Well done! I'm 45 years old and have purchased many cars both used and new at a variety of dealerships in New England. I have had the tag team/ foursquare method I'm 45 years old and have purchased many cars both used and new at a variety of dealerships in New England. I have had the tag team/ foursquare method with pushy salespeople and managers who have been arrogant, slicksters interested in squeezing my wallet dry. I've had the bait and switch done to me, sure come down we have that model, only to be shown a completely different model. "Oh that model is hard to find, I'd have to call around and see if we could even get one." Well friends, Exeter Subaru was a very different place and experience. Maybe it's the Subaru demographic that is different and calls for a different approach as I am new to Subaru or maybe it's the way this store is managed. Either way, it didn't matter because my experience was very positive. Todd was helpful, albeit it a little frazzled as my wife and I showed up unannounced on a busy Saturday and he got the call to help us. He was not pushy and was attentive to our needs and generally a very friendly person. Truth be told I had my research done and new exactly what I wanted when I walked into the showroom. That may have made the process easier as there was no haggling or nickel and diming during the process. I don't roll that way during these types of deals anyway, I know what I want and what it costs and all I want is a fair deal. I'm not looking for a $60k car for $30k like many who waltz into the showroom. The process was a little long as I am a MA resident and had to deal with the whole out of state reg. thing but the folks at Exeter took care of me and my wife, delivered the car I wanted at a fair price with a polite, friendly atmosphere. I would recommend it be on the shortlist of Subaru dealers that you visit. More
