After initially going to your atypical aggressive style dealership and having a rather negative experience the week prior, I chose to change tactics a bit. I did some more research on dealerships and slimmed down on the particular models which I was interested in so that I might have a better experience. I needed a more clear vision of how I wanted to make the purchase and for what reasonable final price. If you are making a big decision involving a lot of money then why would you want people to push you around and be rude to you? I found Family Toyota of Arlington online here and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Andre Speed's name kept popping up a lot on these reviews. I decided to walk into the dealer and just ask for Andre, sight unseen. I gave him a printout from their website of what exactly I was looking for. This dealership was already asking for a lot less $ up front than many other dealerships). From the first moments to the last, Andre was a true professional through and through. He explained a lot of things about the vehicle and its options. Some of which you probably already knew and a lot that you did not even think to ask about. Even your test drive is memorable! One incentive for the customer at this dealership is that Andre is not commissioned based, they are salaried. This obviously helps you, the buyer. Andre was very patient and thorough for the entire duration of the process (which can take some time so don't be in a rush if you really want to work things out that day). I would even go as far as to say he was trustworthy :-) We went back and forth on a few things through his numbers crunching people but it always came back very favorably and was not a hassle. They help Andre provide all the info that you want to see. Its up to you to do some research and figure out exactly what you want and how much you want to spend. Andre is there to help you facilitate your purchase. He even said "if I do not know all of the answers to your questions, I admit to that and will find out for you." That kind of honesty is commendable because often times you will find sales people making things up or steering the conversation towards emotional things to sway you and get your money as quickly as possible. Andre is very easy going and relaxed. Even the overall atmosphere inside the building is calm. Next, I met Troy from the finance department. Troy was equally as respectful. These people want to earn your business and it really shows! From my perspective, I encountered NO negative experiences or interractions at this dealership whatsoever.
