I took my Buick Regal to the service dept for a Stabilitrak error message. Turns out it's $100 just to have them diagnose the problem, and another $100 to replace the sensor. Rather than paying $100 for nothing I paid $200 for a sensor. But that wasn't enough. They told me I also needed front brake pads and rotors. This to the tune of $370. The rotors are rusting and flaking and the brake pads are wore. ODD-I had my car inspected the week before and that garage said there was no problem. In fact I had more than 50% left, and given that I had brakes put on about 1 year ago, all makes sense. When i picked my car up, they had given me an estimate slip with a hand written note saying my brakes needed changed ASAP and that it was a "safety issue". Even noted that they are leaking. I think they were trying to take advantage of me to begin with on the brake situation and to use this type of "scare tactic" was totally uncalled for! I will NEVER go there again, and I will take every opportunity to tell others why not to as well! The only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to. They don't deserve any star!
