This is positive and negative. This is my 2nd visit, for service, at the new location. Alexa is our Service Rep, at the new location. Alexa has knowledge of the product, HONDA. Al This is my 2nd visit, for service, at the new location. Alexa is our Service Rep, at the new location. Alexa has knowledge of the product, HONDA. Alexa is CUSTOMER FOCUSED. I give the NEW FAULKNER Honda, 5 STARS. The people we dealt with, at the old location were just talking heads. I must tell you, I called the OTHER HONDA DEALERS, surrounding Harrisburg, to continue service of our 2019 Honda Odyssey. I was living with regrets of ever driving to Faulkner Honda, that Saturday afternoon, and buying a Honda Odyssey, from Ben Miller. In closing, I must repeat, Alexa is certainly an asset. 5 STARS. I went in yesterday, 1 April 2024 for a state inspection and was advised at 1412 that I needed a headlight bulb in order to pass inspection and was also told that my valve cover gasket was “leaking bad” and and was advised at 1412 that I needed a headlight bulb in order to pass inspection and was also told that my valve cover gasket was “leaking bad” and “needed replaced today”. I told Chris I perform the maintenance on my car and would replace the gasket if need be, to which he stressed the fact that I was burning a lot of oil and should have the gasket replaced immediately. I again told him I will replace it myself, so he moved on to the lengthy list of recommended services which included front and rear wipers - which were all recently replaced (front within the past 12 months and back only 4 weeks ago), four tires - which were all replaced on 7 Nov 2022 at Pep Boys at 162,485 miles and aligned on 1 March 2023 at Faulkner at 171,170 miles, front rotors - which were replaced on 1 March 2023 at Faulkner at 171,170 miles. The recommended services totaled nearly $3,000. I declined all of those services and asked what the headlight bulb would cost. After being told it would cost $51 for a simple bulb replacement, I advised Chris to fail my inspection and I would take it to another garage after replacing the bulb myself. I waited in the sitting room until 1455, 43 minutes, before walking up to Chris’ desk to inquire about getting my car and he was leaning back in his chair having a personal conversation with the advisor sitting in front of him, with my paperwork and key directly in front of him on his desk waiting to be processed. I drove home immediately and checked my valve cover gasket only to see minor leakage around the seal and my oil level hadn’t dropped at all from when I did an oil change 1,600 miles ago. After looking at my paperwork, I realized that the box was checked that no oil leaks were visible. I went to Pep Boys today and the mechanic and I went over every item on the list I was given at Faulkner; the ONLY recommendation he gave me was to replace the valve cover gasket in the future due to slight leakage, but disagreed that it was leaking to the point of burning oil and needing immediate replacement. My serpentine belt has a couple of minor cracks but is not in need of replacing at this time. My wipers are not streaking and do not need replaced. My tires are at 7/32nds and have plenty of tread left on them. He noted a thin layer of rust on the back side of my front brake pads, which isn’t affecting their functionality. To say this experience was less than desirable is an understatement. I am appalled at how Chris was pushing unnecessary services and am truly disheartened that this behavior is tolerated at your establishment. I have purchased my last 4 vehicles in the past 10 years through Faulkner and will now no longer be putting my trust and money in to your business. More
