I had not purchased a vehicle from a dealer since 1995, when I purchased a new Buick, I have bought several used vehicles since from owners. A tow truck driver said he would go in and have someone come out and talk with me. Brad Belcher, who I had never met before, came out and introduced himself to me. I asked if he had a used Jeep Grand Cherokee with low mileage, He said that he had just got one in and ask me to come in and let him check and see what it was. He told me it was not available as yet but that it was a 2005 with 31,000 miles, and he would call me the next day and if I wanted to look at it he would not put it on the lot and give me the first opportunity for it. The next day I came and it looked like a new vehicle, it had the 5.7 engine I wanted and we took it for a short drive. Brad sat down with me and asked if I knew a couple of friends of his who live near me, They happened to be my Pastor, who I went to high school with, and his son who my son went to school with. This earned him my trust to treat me fairly. Brad showed me the service record and explained in detail every thing they had done to the vehicle including five new tires. He was very friendly, and patient while answering all the questions I asked. I realized this was very rare to find a 2005 with 31,000 miles that looked like it had never been owned before, I purchased the vehicle that day. I asked if he could get me a second key, which he did after I had purchased it, and two days later the battery was dead, which looked like a new battery, he asked that I have it towed in and replaced the battery at no cost or tow charge, I was very impressed and very pleased with the service. This is what gave me the reason to give my friends Brads card and recommend Skyland Automotive to my friends and employees and students at Warren Wilson College, where I have taken students in the past to help them find a vehicle to purchase. Skyland Automotive will be the first place I will take future students, and will ask for Brad. I also realize that if Brad had not given me the first opportunity to see this vehicle, then someone else would have bought it.
