Reconnect car to oncall service Apparently this system problem was not found during our regular servicing last month. Needed to be completely redownloaded. This necessitated an additional two days at the dealership, which the loaner car (and being retired) made possible for us. We would not expect this to be a regular occurrence. We have not b My husband and I bought our New 2016 XC90 in this location on 1/2016. We had our car serviced at Volvo Northfield since the beginning. We have not been satisfied with service in the beginning of our services (10K, 20K, other checks in between). We even tried Volvo Barrington to get Volvo Recall fix performed there just to try other Volvo dealerships for service. Barrington Volvo is small but provided decent service. However, we decided to take our XC90 to Northfield for another try due to a seatbelt pretensioner service that showed up in the dash on 10/8/19. James Mcneely and David Ritter has been very informative, pleasant, transparent about the whole service experience. They ordered a part for our seatbelt pretensioner that took an extra day for repair and also suggested to complete 40K Maintenance. They were timely, explained what work was completed on our car and provided excellent customer service. I wanted to take the time to write this review as these two Service Advisors definitely changed our experience with Service Dept. at Volvo Northfield compared to previous experiences. They also provided a loaner car when our car was going to take longer than expected for repairs. As compared to previous, We were called by a previous service advisor to return a loaner car when our car repairs were not finished. More
