While visiting the Grand Canyon in July, our Honda Odyssey’s check engine light came on. We were 2500 miles away from home and frantic to find a Honda dealership. Came in with no notice for an oil change, wiper blades and repair of some burned out dash back lights. Car was accepted immediately, service was completed on time and under estimate. One lamp was not in and repair of some burned out dash back lights. Car was accepted immediately, service was completed on time and under estimate. One lamp was not in stock and was ordered. The dash was disassembled and re-assembled at no charge, due to the lamp issue above. Every experience that I've had with this dealer has been outstanding! I have 125,000 miles on my 2006 Ridgeline and all services have been completed at this dealer since I moved to Flagstaff, unless I've been traveling in the Northwest or Southern parts of the country. My wife and I decided to upgrade our aging SUV to an Odyssey minivan. I shopped around online with some of the Phoenix dealers - some were more willing to deal over email than others and the prices were Odyssey minivan. I shopped around online with some of the Phoenix dealers - some were more willing to deal over email than others and the prices were generally pretty good. But Findlay Honda here in Flag had the only model/color Odyssey in the state that was our first preference so I headed over there to see if I could work out a deal. I had done my homework and knew what I was willing to pay and was pleasantly surprised at how relatively easy the negotiations went with the sales guy, Dak. The price we agreed to was a bit below my target and we took advantage of Honda's 2.9% financing offer. Took the car home and everything was great until Honda announced their Memorial Day sales event 2 days later with 0.9% financing. I went back to Findlay to ask if I could get my deal switched to the 0.9% and they said I had to talk to American Honda Finance Corp. Went home, called AHFC and naturally they said I had to talk to the dealer. At this point, I was feeling like this was going to be the ol' run around but the squeaky wheel gets the oil so I went back to Findlay and this time I spoke with Frankie Ruiz, their sales manager. Frankie was very nice and said he would talk to his AHFC rep to see what could be done. Frankie got back to me shortly thereafter and said he felt pretty confident he would be able to get me the 0.9% deal. It took a few days but Frankie came through and I went back to sign the revised paperwork for the better deal. It's tough for me to think of buying a new car as an enjoyable experience simply based on how expensive cars are these days. But I must say that I was very pleased with Findlay's, particularly Frankie's, efforts in helping me get the better deal that Honda announced right after we bought the Odyssey. They earned my respect and most likely my repeat business down the road. As for the Odyssey itself, I swore I would never own a minivan as a younger man, but its funny how life changes. But this thing rocks - the kids love it, my wife loves it, its roomy, powerful, quiet, efficient, and handles great. It's a Honda... More
