Best Experience I've had in buying a new car I've bought many new cars over the last 30 years, and Five Star Chevrolet made it the best overall experience I've had yet. To start, Billy Washington was an excellent salesperson who seemed more interested in listening to my needs and delivering, than just selling me something. He acted more like my advocate than a sales person. Additionally, Bret Morris worked tirelessly and creatively to get me the deal I needed. Finally, Leah Johnston was very responsive and efficient in fixing some final issues with paperwork. Displeased with the lack of integrity from Five Star I would like to start off by saying that I have been a loyal customer of this dealership since 2004 dating back to when it was Van Chevrolet and I hav I would like to start off by saying that I have been a loyal customer of this dealership since 2004 dating back to when it was Van Chevrolet and I have purchased 5 vehicles from them and also have brought in family members that purchased vehicles from Five Star and the reason I say loyal is because I live in Arlington so I have to travel quite a way to get there not to mention all the other Chevy dealerships I have to pass to get there, it saddens me to say that I will never ever be back to this dealership again for anything due to their deceitful tactics and to be honest just telling straight up bold faced lies. I was not interested in buying a new vehicle and I made that very clear when I got a call from someone at Five Star saying they had very good news for me that since they were really needing used trucks and I was such a good customer they wanted to buy my truck back from me and put me in a brand new truck for a cheaper payment than what I was currently paying now I realized this was nothing more than a sales pitch I have heard it before so I immediately told her I was not interested and if I was my credit score wasn't where it needed to be as a matter of fact it was pretty bad and she said this was different and it didn't matter I have been through this before so I just told her no it wouldn't work so she then had someone from finance department call me and ask why wouldn't I want to get into a brand new truck for a cheaper payment, I explained the whole credit situation again and couldn't be more clear on how bad my credit score was at this time and then he said it didn't matter if I would make the trip up there and be there around 6:30 I guarantee I will have you in and out of here in about 25 minutes and you will be in a brand new truck with a cheaper payment, so I made the trip to the dealership and test drove a new truck and was excited until the finance manager said the payment would be about 300 dollars more a month than what I was currently paying I was furious at this point and explained to him what I was told on the phone and he said they shouldn't have told you that and I will have a talk with them and their bosses I then told him a guy in finance that CALLED ME guaranteed me he would have me in a new truck he then said well you are approved just not for what you're wanting to pay so he went back and forth forever and I agreed 3 different times to keep going up on my payment even after I was told I would be in a new truck for a cheaper payment it finally got to where I couldn't make the payment he was talking about so he said I will continue to work on this and call you first thing in the morning to try and make this work because that just wasn't right what you were told on the phone, well guess what he never called me I did get a call from the sales manager saying we just can't make the deal on the payment you're wanting to pay I told him I didn't call you guys and I didn't come up here looking to buy a new truck you guys called me and promised me this deal he then again like the finance manager said that just ain't right what they told you on the phone and they shouldn't have but all I can do at this point is apologize to you and have a talk with the people that called you I then ask to speak to the GM and he said he was busy but he would have him call me but he never called me I have sent messages to the GM to call me so we can discuss this further but he won't call me. If the GM happens to read this my question for him is how can he let his staff operate in such a deceitful way allowing them to just tell straight up bold faced lies just to get people in the door. My advice to the staff at Five Star is they need to look up the word integrity in the dictionary and if they want to know what people think about those kinds of tactics they're using it's the opposite of the definition of integrity, not that you guys care because you have such a big dealership but you just lost a life long customer for life. More

When I spoke to the new car manager, he looked down on me for buying used and didn’t seem interested in helping me. Joe was amazing and took great care of me. He agreed that the part shouldn’t be my fault and mine to pay. If it wasn’t for Joe, I wouldn’t be coming back. Service department was amazing, but sales was less than a five star experience. More
