Sandy, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This was an inadvertent mistake made by our Finance Manager Keith. GM notified him after the paperwork was completed that your service contract did not qualify for the 18 month payback schedule as your vehicle exceeded 30,000 miles. The maximum term that qualifies for the 0% finance is 15 months for vehicles with 30,000 miles or more. It was an honest error and for that we are sorry. You are correct that we can not change the payment terms without your approval, therefore you are entitled to cancel your interest free (0%) service warranty contract. The warranty was not used for replacing your break pads as break pads are a wear and tear item and are therefore not covered under your warranty. We simply authorized payment on them out of customer loyalty, as you stated the check break light came on within 7 days of purchasing the vehicle. We were not obligated to do so, but truly tried to go out of our way to make sure you were happy with your purchase.
