Ford Lincoln of Smithtown

After dropping the car off for service, I received absolutely no communication from the Smithtown Ford service staff. I had to call a number if times until I finally received a call back with a vague absolutely no communication from the Smithtown Ford service staff. I had to call a number if times until I finally received a call back with a vague explanation. Finally, over a week later, I picked up my car and had the technician show me the work. I noticed the oil dipstick was broken. The technician immediately stated that "That's how it was when it came in." I know for a fact that it was not. They replaced the forward catalytic converter right below the dip stick (coincidence?). I returned on Monday to pick it up a replacement dipstick NOT OEM Lincoln. Very unhappy!!! More

Horrible experience with the receptionist who is responsible for scheduling service appointments. Incredibly incompetent and reflects exceptionally poorly on Smithtown Ford as a whole. Don't walk, run from this dealership. I spoke with 3 different sales people over the last 3 years when I was interested in purchasing vehicles. Every vehicle I looked at had a ridiculous I spoke with 3 different sales people over the last 3 years when I was interested in purchasing vehicles. Every vehicle I looked at had a ridiculous mark up. Ok, covid hurt their business, obviously, but I don't really blame the sales people. It's obvious that they have to do what they do from the higher ups. Service department has been ok but I feel they are also limited to how much they can help you. Again, I don't blame any of the front line workers in sales or service. It's my opinion that it is the management of this dealer that is just bad. There are good Ford dealers out there. Ford Lincoln of St James is not one of them. The last thing I ever want to do is give a negative review but I feel it is necessary to warn people about bad experiences especially on such an expensive purchase. More

Mark Birthwright was personable, knowledgeable and if it weren't for him, this deal would never have taken place. He took an awful situation with Anthony and corrected it to our total satisfaction.
