My husband just retired after 21 years as a Ranger in the Infantry due to PTSD. He cannot make decisions & cannot handle stress, that is why I make all financial decisions in our family. We had a recall on the gas tank of his truck, when we picked the truck up the shock by the gas tank was leaking but of course that had nothing to do with the work done right next to it on the gas tank the day before (like I believe that!). I was told the shocks were "rusted through" funny but they didn't return them to me when I picked the truck up so I could verify this was a fact, also I was told the shocks were $66 each but when I went to pick the truck up it was well over $200 and the parts were not Ford parts (and they were not less expensive either plus the warranty does not cover labor if they are defective). Turns out they called my 17 year while I was at work and advised her they only had off brand parts with a crappy warranty for the same price (more actually), she couldn't reach me and asked her dad what to do and he told my daughter I had authorized them to replace the shocks, that was all he knew, they asked him for his social security number and he gave it to them. I told Marie I felt ripped off and she got mouthy telling me to make my 17 year old pay the difference if I didn't like it. I asked her why would I ask my kid to do that when it was Clermont Ford that was ripping me off, not my child (nor my husband that is ill with PTSD), also my child gets all her money for me so that was just a stupid remark meant to be nasty. I don't see anyway Marie can take back the other nasty things she said to me, yes there was a lot more lip service I won't go into here. This is exactly what happened so what is there to discuss?
