Purchased a Ford Raptor for $76k from them. I got there in the evening and it was dark. They had it backed up under an overhang in the dark. I bought the truck And the next morning checked it out in the daylight. The truck had several large dents and scratches. I got an estimate to repair it for $1200. I called the dealership and Josh said he’d give me $100 credit towards it. I said that was unacceptable and spoke to manage Mike Carbone. I explained what happened to Mike and he said “well you bought a used truck”. I said that was unacceptable to tell someone a truck is “clean” when it’s got several dents and scratches. We have always trusted and actually enjoyed coming in to Ford of Claremont as well as Quick Lanes. But there have been a couple of issues, especially the last time that I was in last week. I was disappointe Ford of Claremont as well as Quick Lanes. But there have been a couple of issues, especially the last time that I was in last week. I was disappointed in a diagnostic test I wanted to run. I had indicated I wanted a print out of the results. What I got was just the write up of what the mechanic thought the issue was and list of parts and estimate to fix what he thought the problem was. So there was one issue but that did not tell me any information about any other area of the truck - yet I paid for a diagnosis over $200. I brought it in because I heard valve knocking. Asked to keep it overnight to hear it from a cold start. I agreed that’s whenever I wanted the diagnostic read out. The other issue I had with this latest visit was I had a 50% off of the works, but I had the coupon in another vehicle. The service rep said he would look it up, but didn’t find anything. I was told that the problem with the valve knocking was I needed a VCT and a VVT and was given the estimate for that as well as estimate for new spark plugs and tires, etc. So I decided just to go with the works and with full synthetic oil. So, when I pick the truck up, I had forgotten the coupon but figured it would be taken care of. Well, it wasn’t so I was disappointed that if I had a coupon that it would be in the system. So I paid for price and came home. I opened the mail after I got home and there was a 50% off coupon in the mail. good grief. I will be doing my own oil changes and maintenance from now on. More
