A simple oil change can turn into thousands of dollars, like recommending wheel alignment with every oil change, transmission flush when they repair 6 months ago, replace struts and front end parts for 202 like recommending wheel alignment with every oil change, transmission flush when they repair 6 months ago, replace struts and front end parts for 2020 Explorer that hardly drives, because I work from home More

We decided to gift our 2008 Mustang to our son. Because the car was going to be driven to Colorado, we wanted to make sure the car was roadworthy. We knew it needed a new battery, probably brakes Because the car was going to be driven to Colorado, we wanted to make sure the car was roadworthy. We knew it needed a new battery, probably brakes and oil change. Just wanted it checked over. Took the car in at 8:00am on a Friday, they didn’t look at it until Monday. Told me they were backed up because of the holiday. I had heard another tech tell someone, they were open for the holiday .Couldn’t get a shuttle home because I lived outside the area. Had to rent a car. My husband is disabled and can’t drive .I was told the car would be done on Monday. So I rented the car through Monday. Didn’t hear anything on Monday morning so I called. Your phone system is awful. Finally got ahold of him. He sent pictures and text to my land line and didn’t bother to follow up. He told me he needed permission to put in a new battery so they could do the diagnostic test. I told him when I dropped it off that I knew it needed a new battery because it was not holding a charge. More wasted time. We needed the brakes done which we were pretty sure that needed to be done. Didn’t know when it would be done. Now I needed to get the rental car back that day. I spent $250 on a rental car for what? Friday, Saturday and Sunday the car sat down there. Why couldn’t I have bought the car back on Monday morning? After they put in the new battery, they could finally do the diagnostic test and found that the box which holds the fuses needed to be replaced and the part would take 4-6 days to come in plus another day to be installed. About 4 days later, I got another call from Ford of Clermont Annette in the collision center. Didn’t realize it was for a recall on our other car. Thought it was about the mustang. I was not pleasant to her which I regret. She looked into the mustang as to what was going on. She called back and told me they needed the extra set of keys so they could program the fuse box. No call from Zach that they would need that. Supposedly he was off that day. Wouldn’t he of known that when he called about the fuse box? Annette was so kind and understanding that it is difficult when a person is a caregiver. She sent a driver to come get the key. Annette made arrangements that when the mustang was done, I could drop off the Escape for the recall fix. So the mustang is done and I went to pick it up. The bill came to approximately $3200. Now I am told if I use my charge card, you will charge a 3% processing fee. Knowing the amount of work that was done on the car, wouldn’t it of been nice to tell me this when he called to tell me the car was done? Who has that much cash on them and how many people carry a checkbook with them? So now I end up paying another $95 for that. So I am out the $250 for the rental plus your processing fee. Transparency, communication and customer service are pivotal to a business. You failed on all 3 with the repair on the mustang. Now Annette with the recall on the Escape was wonderful. She even had them bring the Escape back to me. Which was totally unexpected and I was stunned after everything with Zach. She understood my situation and helped me out. Not sure I will be back for service. I will admit the Quick lane service was always good and Annette was fantastic but the service tech was terrible. If your service department is backed up 3 days, you either don’t have enough employees or Ford is not putting out the quality car it use to. I had an appointment for a diagnostic test for 8:20, got there and was told it would take 24-48 hours. You shouldn't need to keep my car just to run the test and then order parts for whatever is wrong. Whe there and was told it would take 24-48 hours. You shouldn't need to keep my car just to run the test and then order parts for whatever is wrong. When I come back to have it fixed is when you should have to keep it. Took 5 hours to run the computer test, said it was fixed, and the same light still came on the very next day. Completely unacceptable customer service More
Always routes service calls to an answering service. Took 4 days to find a rental. Said we needed new tires (80% of tread left) and other services that were not needed. Very shady!
