A dealership experience worthy of its rating My car buying experience started online when I found what I considered to be my "ideal" truck. The F150 checked off all of my "must haves" and the one My car buying experience started online when I found what I considered to be my "ideal" truck. The F150 checked off all of my "must haves" and the one at Ford of Port Richey was loaded with extras. Jack Duffie contacted me directly, and the car buying game began. Having driven the same vehicle for 12 years, I was not familiar with the ebb and flow of the car buying experience, I was emotionally and mentally unprepared for it all. Jack helped me over some of the first hurdles, but I couldn't get them to budge on the price. I shopped other dealerships in the area and as far away as Atlanta, but none of them had that F150. Some were close, but they missed in one way or another. Eventually I wrote off Ford of Port Richey for being too rigid, but a casual search of my Internet car buying site one morning at work showed me that they'd dropped the price a bit. I reached out to Jack and the team again, and I offered a little more to see if they would budge on the price. I knew when Joe Petrillo called me directly that they were interested in what I was offering, and the process was alight again. After several hours of back and forth and a sizeable down payment to show them I was serious, I was driving my 12 year old Mercury to Port Richey to pick up my new truck. The dealership staff were pleasant and helpful. Jack was every bit the gentleman, and they walked me through the process quickly. After a couple hours of paperwork, I left my loyal Mercury behind and drove home in a new truck. Jack, Mike, and Joe were fantastic through and through. It was obvious from all of them that they are dedicated to their dealership family and willing to work with the customer to provide the best service and the best price.
