A couple months went by, and it was time. I called and set up an appointment, and showed up at my appointed time. 3 hours went by, with me sitting in the lobby, so i started asking questions. apparently, they were flustered, as they said my vehicle was done and pointed to it. i went through the side doors, got in...but whataya know...it wasn't my car, just a look-alike! about 10 minutes later, I was motoring down the road,in my own car, having decided that this would be my one and only visit to the service department at Port Richey Ford. I was called for a survey, and was very truthful about my disdain with the whole process. A manager got on the phone, gave me lots of reasons why my experience had been so bad, promised to do better in the future, and once again offered a free deluxe oil change to get me back in the door, so I agreed to give it another shot. Fast forward a few months, and I once again showed up at my appointed time, with the understanding that I would once again wait in the lobby. About an hour later, the service writer came out and told me that the air filter needed replacing; I consented to it's being replaced, and the associated costs (i think it was $29.95). A little better than an hour further down the line, I was once again getting very anxious, so I started asking about my car. I was told that they were just finishing it up, that the deluxe oil change took longer, as they had more things to check, top off, etc. Finally my car was complete, so the young lady took me to the cashier to pay for the filter change and to check out. Suddenly, the cashier was handing me my copies and my keys, thanking me, and sending me on my way. I was a bit dumbfounded, but figured that maybe the dealership had chosen to NOT charge me for the air filter change, considering my previous experience. When I arrived home, I took the receipt papers out to file them where i keep such things, and, while perusing the bill, i see that the service writer (i assume it was her) had noted that the air filter needed replacing, but that I had refused the work. (which was NOT the case-and there could have been no misunderstanding, as it was very clear-cut what i wanted.) I went out to the driveway, popped the hood, and started looking over the engine compartment to try to determine whether or not the filter had been replaced. I never even figured that out. The ABSOLUTE lack of give-a-xxxx was apparent from the minute i opened the hood. the engine oil refill cap was not where it belonged...instead, it was wrapped in a towel of some sort, laying toward the back of the engine. The battery's positive terminal, despite my just having purchased this vehicle a few months prior, was so badly crusted with battery acid/corrosion, that i am amazed the vehicle would start. I can get half-assed, shoddy work anywhere up and down any highway in my town to go with an oil change for less than $20. I opted for the dealership where I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, thinking that maybe, just maybe, they would be interested in continuing to earn my business. apparently, I was wrong. I suggest that folks just keep driving past this place. More

I have bought two cars here and the service is great. I never have a complaint for the work they have done on my car. The reason I did not give it five stars is that sometimes I have had to wait for hours for the work to get done when I wasn't expecting it to take so long. More

MANY Sales people, Very disorganized On Oct 5, 2016 My girlfriends and I went in to Ford Of New Port Richey as I was interested in trading in my vehicle. Andy became our Sales Person. H On Oct 5, 2016 My girlfriends and I went in to Ford Of New Port Richey as I was interested in trading in my vehicle. Andy became our Sales Person. He admitted he usually does not sell the cars. I settled on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. There was several things I wanted on my vehicle. I asked if this had GPS to which Andy answered yes...that I had to but a SIMS card and he showed me where it went. He also indicated that I also could display my phone GPS via Blu-Tooth. BOTH FALSE!!!!!..which I found out later at the jeep dealer. I now have a vehicle with no internal GPS (I have an external one and am looking and installing a radio with one built in (Another $500.00 out of my pocket) We agree to a deal including items they would take care of. When closing I found out there was not a second key (another $200+) (SALES D-) With as many sales people as I see standing around they should NOT give information they do not know. In the mean time my friend also purchased a NEW Ford SUV. Between the two of us OVER $65,000 in sales. Service. We both had to have work done as part of the sales. After two week she finally got contacted, brought the vehicle in and had to make an appointment. At the same time I talked in Andy in Service that I I needed work done and was assured I would be called by the end of THAT day to set up an appointment. A WEEK LATER...I had to call and try to set up an appointment to get my work done. I also tried to talk with the General Manager and was NEVER allowed to do so..though I asked several times. (SERVICE Organized D-) Positive Andy has been VERY courteous and on the day of service tried hard to make sure that I was Pleased (A) Very time I come in I see MANY sales people milling around, ...Why did I get one that did not know his autos or gave false information. Recommend...NO More
