Had to wait awhile for my car to "throw a code" Our Nissan Rogue has had transmission noise since June. The service department at Fort Wayne Nissan was very helpful about getting this resolved. However Nissan Corp. would not replace the transmission under warranty until the computer showed a code, which it did not do. The noise got so bad that we called the service dept. and told them something had to be done. We took the car to them Feb.1. Nissan Corp. finally had them take the transmission apart and rebuild it. This took 2 months. Fort Wayne Nissan service department was very helpful but Nissan Corp was not. More

The car is excellent, and I appreciated Josh's attention to us, especially during the busier part of the day when there were other people wanting to speak to him. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of 5 star is that, after we purchased the car, we went to Bob Evans Toyota to learn which oil to put into it (not realizing there are two Toyota dealerships in town). We were alarmed to learn something in the Toyota history on the car that had not appeared on the Carfax: a note describing the car as an oil guzzler! We were pretty concerned. We did go back to Fort Wayne Nissan, and Josh and Mr. Zickmund did help, booking the car for it to be looked over. So far, so good--thankfully!. I am an inexperienced car buyer, so...I am not sure what a car salesman should or should not know about the car he is selling. Especially since Fort Wayne Toyota is a sister company to Fort Wayne Nissan, I wish we would have been informed about the oil-guzzling concern before the purchase. We did, however, get the Carfax, which seems the typical guidance factor when you are buying a used vehicle. So far, this is an excellent car, and Josh and Mr. Zickmund were very responsive when we wanted to look at the car and they did help after the purchase. The long and short of this review is: from what I can tell, Fort Wayne Nissan is a good dealership with helpful employees, but if you can, do ask about the history of the car where it was previously serviced.
