The service department had my car for a whole day to do the standard maintenance. We talked to them earlier in the day and asked if they could look at my tires when the rotate them, as 2 of them kept going the standard maintenance. We talked to them earlier in the day and asked if they could look at my tires when the rotate them, as 2 of them kept going low. We went to pick up my car and we noticed my tires were still low. On the paper work they stated tires were fine and no rotation had been done. After going back and fourth with the employee they finally took my car back and looked at the tire. They found a nail in the tire. They then asked to keep my car for another day so they can fix the tire or if they could put on my spare, fix the tire and come back to get my tire put back on. We refused, stated we will not be bring the car back to this dealership for service as we would drive 45 minutes for standard maintenance. We did end up getting the tire fixed at Discount Tire within an hour. All in all will not be returning nor ever giving referrals to this dealership. More
Took 2022 Tucson in for a morning appointment scheduled weeks in advance. Hadn't heard anything by the end of the day, so I called to get an update. They hadn't even looked at the car yet. Left it overnigh weeks in advance. Hadn't heard anything by the end of the day, so I called to get an update. They hadn't even looked at the car yet. Left it overnight, again most of the day went by when I finally reached out again late afternoon. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and then was told they drove the car for 1 mile and nothing was wrong it. They offered to keep it longer (no loaner) but couldn't tell me what additional diagnostics they would do, so I told them not to do anything more to the car. Went to pick it up and when I asked if they could really determine nothing was wrong in less than 1 mile drive...I got a nasty response and was told "well how long do you think I need to drive it". I'm no mechanic, but common sense says maybe long enough for the engine to warm up, or maybe actually plug it into a scanner. Not knowing what to do, I decided to look up the manufacturer tech bulletins on NHTSA to see if this is a common issue with a repair, and within 5 minutes came across the bulletin for the EXACT accelerator issue, with my Tucson vin number included. Took it to another dealership, they did an update and it drove good again for a few days, but problem has returned and will be taking it back to the other dealership. Not sure if it is laziness, ignorance, bad management, simply not caring about their customers or product, or after seeing some of the other high ratings makes me wonder if it is unfortunately some kind of bias or prejudice. What I am sure of is that Foundation Hyundai nor any of their techs will ever touch this car again. More
