We went in a little too close to closing time on a very cold Friday night with a lot of questions and not quite sure what direction we wanted to go. Not ONE time did we feel rushed or pressured. Our salesman, Andrew, took his time listening to what we wanted and what we needed and explained everything to us every step along the way. This team of people know their products, their processes and made driving off with the new Passat that night almost a secondary "happy"! The manager, Derek, and the finance gentlemen were great to work AND chat with - rounding out the whole experience. The positive energy of the team, the beautiful facility, the seamless process and their willingness to go that extra mile for their customers means that we've just found our "go to" dealership. I highly recommend talking to these guys first if you're looking! More

They worked with other dealers to get the exact car we wanted at the right price. The price was competitive with all the other Chicagoland dealers and they did what it took to earn my business. Highly recommended and we will be back. More

Out-of-State, out of luck. I live in NC and had I attempted to get information about a vehicle this dealership had advertised for sale on Auto Trader.com. I contacted the deale I live in NC and had I attempted to get information about a vehicle this dealership had advertised for sale on Auto Trader.com. I contacted the dealership initially on January 6, 2015 asking for photos and background information on the car. Because I live 800 miles away from Volkswagen of Crystal Lake, I was relying on the staff there to provide me with as much data as possible so that I could make an informed decision before incurring out-of-pocket expenses such as an airline ticket and hotel reservations for the trip to see and hopefully purchase the car. On January 7 I received four photos (for those who have looked at vehicles online that were not local to them know that four photographs is a far cry from enough visual information to make a sound decision over). I requested more photos at that time but did not received additional photos until six days later, at which time I received another eleven photographs of the car (again not nearly enough for an out-of-state customer). On the 15th of January I received three additional photos, one which showed a dent in the right rear quarter panel which was from some thing had made impact with the car. On the 19th of January I received photos showing rust on the supports of the driver side headrest and on one of the mounting feet of the driver seat floor bracket. So I continued to receive critical information about the car in piece-mill. Even with this new information, I was still very interested in buying the car. When I spoke to one of the sales persons over the phone about price, we reached an agreement, however, after taking my credit card information over the phone to hold the car for me, the manager said he required the deposit to be half of the purchase price. I did not have the available balance on my card to cover that so i said if that was the policy, I could not meet that requirement. On ,Friday January 23rd, I spoke to one of the sales people about the rust issues to see if it was just surface rust or something more invasive. At that time he informed me that there was an exhaust leak that he was going to have the service department look at on Monday. He was "off" that day and would not be able to tell me anymore until Monday. On Saturday, January 24th, I received a text message telling me that the car had been sold. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. I felt as though, because I was from out-of-state, I was not taken seriously and that the staff at Volkswagen of Crystal Lake was not willing to gather the necessary information up front so that I could make a sound and quick decision about the car. I also feel that asking for half of the purchase price is outrageous. Cars sold on Ebay usually ask for $500-$1000 in deposit when a car is purchased. Had I been given the same amount of information that a local prospective buyer would have had access to, I would have been able to close on the car before another party was able to obtain it. The staff at this dealership was less than willing or capable of putting together an information package suitable for a car being advertised on the internet. I feel I was stereotyped as a less than viable candidate to purchase the car because I live in NC and not IL. I feel that management at thsi dealership attempted to get as much money from me upfront as they could which forced me to pull back. They could have accepted much less than they were asking for. IN my opinion, the staff at Volkswagen of Crystal Lake, did me a disservice and cost me an opportunity that may come along once, maybe twice in a lifetime and it makes me sick to my stomach. Thanks to all the helpful crew at Volkswagen of Crystal Lake. Top notch and always willing to go the extra mile to help a customer. More

Since my war was a 2009 model we were looking around to see if we could get a new/er car and so Matt introduced ( and also who entertained my little girl) us to BoB L. BoB was very friendly and he knows his stuff about everything. We answered all our question and helped us to finding our new family car and He got us into leasing a brand new 2015 car ( my fav car also ). I also wanted to thanks Tom / Tommy who gave our little girl his turtle when she had her biggest meltdown ever ( she is 3 years old) I really recommend this Volkswagen Dealership because from the first moment i came in there to my last one from that day they were awesome!
