Customer Focused After shopping around for a while, I found the exact car I wanted at VW Crystal Lake. I was connected with John G. to test drive and talk numbers. Although that first night I didn't purchase the car, I was very pleased with the follow up and no-pressure attitude from John. He even kept me up-to-date on changing inventory. John went above and beyond by coming in on a day off and staying late to sell us a car almost a month after we initially went there (thank you for staying that night, John!). The reason I cannot give 5-stars across the board is because there seemed to be a lack of communication between salesmen and management, which led us to more than a few different scenarios that did not allow for a smooth purchase. However, focusing on John and Danny B. in finance, they made it worth it. More

Had the Jetta for three years - loved the service, service people (and the new location is the best). Bob L. handled the test drives on the Tiguan, and was very patient in explaining the gadgets on this SUV. As others have said before me, Bob's style is not the high-pressure salesman which is much appreciated. He did follow up with phone calls, left messages and was very gracious at all times. I expected the transition to go smoothly and I was not disappointed. I was very sad to give up my Jetta tho!!! When the grandkids grow out of these car seats, I'll be driving one of those again. I did not put a hold on it, waited too long, and wouldn't you know, My company wanted a white Jetta Sportwagen for our service vehicle. VWCL had one. Bob Langenberg was able to locate one in a neighboring state and did a dealer trade. He brought it to Crystal Lake, for a great price, gave me a fair price on my trade, and handled most of the transaction over the phone. When I came in to the dealership, the paperwork was ready, waiting for me to sign, and I was out in an hour. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Bob and VWCL in the past six months.
