Courtesy, Respect and Value Finally I spent a week going to every car dealership that was within my driving range hunting for a desperately needed new car. As a single woman who had neve I spent a week going to every car dealership that was within my driving range hunting for a desperately needed new car. As a single woman who had never bought a car before, and full of trepidation I set out with my notes on car comparisons that I had researched on the internet. I was ignored or treated with indifference at most places, and when I could persuade a salesman to assist me they were slick and quoting me prices way higher than the manufacturers sticker price posted right on the window. At Planet Ford the salesman was the worst of all, not wanting to get out of his air-conditioned truck he was driving around in because it was too hot and I was only interested in a subcompact car. They get the dunce award. By the time I made it to the other side of I-45 I was expected more nonsense. To my disbelief a gentleman pointed me toward an empty parking spot and asked if he could help me. His name was Leonard Carter. It was over 105 degrees outside in the sun without counting the heat index, but Leonard walked that lot from one end to the other and refusing to quit even when I suggested he take a break and go inside and cool off while I walked around more. He was polite and never condescending to me like so many male salesman had been to me that week. I understood the process of the the car purchase and even when we had somethings I couldn't find I wanted he worked until he got everything perfect. He was the perfect person to help me, and if you need to buy a new car, particularly if you are a woman, I suggest you go to Fred Haas Toyota in Spring and ask for Loenard Carter; you won't be disappointed..
