Predatory Financing Practices I have been a loyal customer of Fred Haas Toyota World for years, having purchased five vehicles from them—four new and one used. Unfortunately, my recent experience mad customer of Fred Haas Toyota World for years, having purchased five vehicles from them—four new and one used. Unfortunately, my recent experience made it clear that something has changed for the worse. This dealership used to operate with integrity, but now predatory sales tactics have taken over. Here’s what happened: Forcing Their Own Financing – The biggest red flag was their refusal to allow outside financing, which is an outright predatory practice. Any reputable dealership should allow customers to finance through their preferred lender, but Fred Haas insisted I use their in-house financing, filled with hidden fees and marked-up interest rates. Untrustworthy Business Practices – I have never experienced such shady tactics here before. It’s clear something has changed, and it’s not for the better. I strongly urge potential buyers to go elsewhere if you want an honest and fair car-buying experience. There are plenty of Toyota dealerships in Houston that will treat you with respect and allow you to use your own financing. I will not be returning to Fred Haas Toyota World, and I suggest anyone reading this avoid them unless you enjoy being manipulated into a bad deal. More
