I purchased a 2022 toyota camry SE from here (gallitan chrysler dodge jeep ram) and i was really hesitant about buying the car because there was a lot of paint chips and not just small chips. I was about to leave until the sales manager offered to fix the paint chips and the manager said NOT with a paint marker, they will sand it down and do it the right way. I made sure he meant fix it right and done professionally. So that made the deal for me into purchasing the car. I go through the process and leave the car there to get paint done and have the lojack device installed. After 16 days of having the car, they call me saying it’s finished and to come pick it up. By the way, the communication was not good. I was told it would only take a few days. When i get there, i see they fixed the hood correctly, i couldn’t even tell it was messed up. When i get to the back bumper, they used a paint marker and it was a darker tone than the cars original color so it stuck out like a sore thumb. Also, they never fixed the chips on the driver door or passenger doors. So the sales manager comes out and agrees to send it back in saying it needs to be painted right. They forgot about the lo jack device and said they will get it installed after they paint again. The sales manager and I agree on me taking the car home that day and to drop it off the day before it would get painted because it’s already been gone for over 2 weeks. I drop the car back off that Friday (April 18th)to get the paint repaired and the lo jack device installed. The sales associate took the car, and told me he would contact me the next day(Saturday) on when it would be ready. Fast forward to Tuesday(April 22nd) and i text the sales associate because i never heard anything. He gets back to me and tells me the paint guy won’t be in until the following friday (April 25th) I got alittle irritated cause it was going to sit up there another week before even getting to it. I reminded him about the lo jack device as well. The next monday (April 28th) he calls saying it’s ready. I go up there and take a look at the car and they fixed everything with a PAINT MARKER. When i found the sales associate that sold me the car, we had some small talk and then i told him about the paint marker they used and how we agreed on fixing the paint the right way. We went and took a look at the car and he agreed it didn’t look good and wasn’t done right. He went to go get the manager and brought him out to look at the car (this is a different manager than before) and he told me that’s the best they can do and won’t do anything else. I told him that we had agreed on redoing this paint the right way and not just with a paint marker, i also said that this was the only reason i bought the car is because they were going to redo the paint the right way. He still tells me there’s nothing they can do. I asked to speak to someone higher up than him and he stated he was the highest up and wouldn’t give me contact to anyone higher up. So after going back and forth he finally tells me he can get a quote on the repair, then him and I split the quote to get it repaired. I told him he’s screwing me out of this deal i bought the car on and shouldn’t have to pay anything. They should make it right and get it all fixed. He then gives me the option for them to only repair the bumper or one of the doors. He raised his voice and told me those were my options and if i don’t like them then to take the car and leave. I spoke with the finance manager to see what we could do on doing a whole refund but i would’ve lost too much money than it’s worth. I am basically stuck with the car i didn’t want before cause of the paint chips because the manager conveniently left while i was in the office with the finance manager talking about money. I spoke to the sales associate again and agreed on them only fixing the door just to make the car alittle better and he said he will talk to his manager tomorrow and and ive heard nothing sinc More
