Arrived on the last day of a 3 year warranty with slightly over 28k miles. I originally asked for an oil change and it was suggested that I go with services recommended for 30k miles. I asked what the cost and time expected to complete the work would be. I was told about 1 1/2 hours and was not given any pricing, which to my regret I did not pursue further. I was asked about cabin and air filters during the service to which I agreed. After 2 1/2 hours I was given a bill for over $830.00 dollars. I accept responsibility for not pushing harder about what all of the estimated costs would be; eg: $55.95 parts and labor to replace the engine air filter and $73.50 for parts and labor to replace the cabin air filter. I do think out of courtesy, I should have been informed about related costs. I was told a brake fluid exchange service was part of the factory recommended service (turns out the recommendation is only to inspect the brake system for any issues. That was an additional $189.95 in parts and labor. There were other misc. charges including document storage, environmental fees, and shop supplies. I am in the market for another vehicle soon, but can not in good conscience recommended Gallatin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for either a vehicle purchase or service work. More
