We did not need to haggle due to the lower prices and the excellent customer service. We heard other customers negotiating lower prices, but we had been in the market for months, and this dealership had the best prices hands down. More
My car was towed 9/14/22 to Hyundai of Garden Grove due to overheating from a hose rupture. It cost $230 for diagnostic which meant visually noticing that there is a tear in the hose. This is an unreasonab to overheating from a hose rupture. It cost $230 for diagnostic which meant visually noticing that there is a tear in the hose. This is an unreasonable cost to diagnose something simple. In the end it cost $1,625 to replace 2 large radiator hoses, 2 small hoses near the firewall and 1 sensor. All the hoses were held in place by clamps and sensor (plug and screw on the ends). These were simple to replace but it took them 7.2 hours and over 5 days to do it. I wonder how they make money if it takes a mechanic 7.2 hours to replace such trivial parts. Now I know - they rip you off by padding the hours. On top of that when I received the old parts back, I noticed that 3 of the hoses were still in good condition. So here is another way they rip you off - replace parts that are still usable. Just because I refused other recommended services they held my car hostage until 9/20/22 when the service advisor called me at home after 7PM which was a little late to pick up my car. He had promised to call at 2PM. Throughout the whole time my car was there I had to call to check on the status, Not once did they call me to keep me updated. The service advisor aka con artist is Mark Sanchez. Hyundai of Garden Grove is a terrible place to take your car for service. They have shown me poor customer service, that they are untrustworthy con artists and unreliable service. In the end: Parts = $412 / Labor = $1,625 / Days in shop = 6 days More
Price gouging! ! They use bait and switch tactics. They promise you the best price if you come in and then give you nothing. Ridiculous sales tactics. Sad that peopl ! This is a misleading dealership which uses false advertising of pricing on their website to entice customers. They have no intention of selling the vehicle that you want at the advertised price. S advertising of pricing on their website to entice customers. They have no intention of selling the vehicle that you want at the advertised price. Sales person, Carlos was responsive but his Sales Manager was no help in the process - only repeated that "we can't sell the vehicle at that price". Requested to speak with the GM and he did not return call. There will probably be some blurb under this rating that says "we are sorry about your experience...", please call the GM. We did and he did not call us back! Russell Westbrook should be ashamed of the false advertising game played by this dealership. More
This was by far the most frustrating experience I have ever had dealing with the service department. About six weeks ago I had my Elantra that I purhcased to this dealership brought in for repairs. Afte ever had dealing with the service department. About six weeks ago I had my Elantra that I purhcased to this dealership brought in for repairs. After being told that my car would be ready by the next day, then in about a week, and finally over a month later, still have not picked up my car. The service department has been nothing but rude, dishonest, and unhelpful. I have received every kind of excuse about parts being on order, not receiving paperwork from my insurance company (which was a lie), and more. Now the service department is threatening me with storage fees if I do not pick the car up this week because they will not wait for approval from my insurance company, I will not be doing business at this dealership ever again, and I do not advise anybody else to give them business either. Utterly ridiculous and unprofessional, rude service employees who tried to wrongfully charge me for repairs covered by my insurance company. More
This is an updated review of the Warranty repair of my 2021 Hyundai Sonata here. I waited about 9 months to get my car, but the day I picked it up, I had to wait another 7 hours to simply wait for a car w 2021 Hyundai Sonata here. I waited about 9 months to get my car, but the day I picked it up, I had to wait another 7 hours to simply wait for a car wash without being able to do anything. I was even late for my work, so I had to explain everything happened here. In addition to that, after I got my car, I figured out that the cap that covers the key hole on the handle is gone, so I asked them where it is. It ended up being lost, so they told me that they ordered it and will arrive at my residence by Wednesday. Today is Thursday, and it did not arrive, so I called there today to locate the cap, and they have no idea what I am talking about, and they told me to wait for a call back after they locate it, but I have not received any call back for about 3 hours. I do not know how to explain how I feel, but one thing I can say is that I do not know if I will ever trust Hyundai anymore. They are being totally irresponsible for their own fault. All I wanted is the location of the part that was not even supposed to be removed from the car, and they are treating me really poorly. More
Had an appointment with Amir today to buy one of 2 pre-owned Santa Fe's that were online. When I arrived they claimed Amir was busy with another customer. So we were given to Omar. Omar had his own pre-owned Santa Fe's that were online. When I arrived they claimed Amir was busy with another customer. So we were given to Omar. Omar had his own agenda and I had text dialog between myself and Amir regarding pricing "wiggly room" on the 2 cars I was interested in. Omar was very frustrated because my wife was putting him on the spot when he would try to convince us to pay $ 10,0000 more than the printed price for the exact same car listed online, which I had a check in hand to pay cash on the spot!!! BTW, after asking to speak face-to- face with Amir, Omar would step away then come back without Amir, but claimed he had spoke to him and their boss? Omar even stated that he figured Amir misled me on the car pricing??? My wife told him that we had an appt. at the Anaheim branch of Russell Westbrook hyundai to look at some specific cars over there. My wife and I walked out as we witnessed Omar rip up the paperwork he generated for a possible sale, and angrily throw in a nearby trashcan. This guy was totally unprofessional and showed signs of a spoiled child who did not get things his way!!!! As we pulled out of out parking spot. Amir finally appeared running up to our car asking us how we did?? He said he is the floor manager at Garden Grove Hyundai. BTW, for Memorial day weekend. There were no customers but alot of salesman standing around the dealership? We went to the Anaheim branch for our appt. with the very professional Cliff. That location was packed with buying customers. Customers sitting in all their lounges waiting for a salesman to write up their new car sales. Cliff and I discussed my car options, he started my new car paperwork, bought me dinner while my new 2022 car was being prepped and detailed. This branch was so busy that they were calling in additional finance people to help with the sales and processing of all the car sales they were generating this 1st of a 3 day holiday weekend. Everyone was pleasant as they were closing our sale and many others simultaneously. A pleasant experience over the dead branch in Garden Grove. Thank you Cliff!! More
There are a million dealerships in Orange County Area, highly recommend shopping elsewhere. We love the car but the process in getting it was painful but not nearly as painful as having to bring it back i highly recommend shopping elsewhere. We love the car but the process in getting it was painful but not nearly as painful as having to bring it back in to get service done on a promised feature at the time of sale. because it was agreed upon at time of sales our sales guy was supposed to be contact person. The problem with this is common questions like how long will install take? and is there access to a loaner to get to work while service is being done? could not be answered and relaying on a call back was futile. Luckily we had service managers info to contact him from the sale. We arranged for car to be dropped off and car worked on first the next morning. A loaner would be provided. Dropping our vehicle off and getting loaner took almost an hour, and loan had 60 miles on the tank left 🤦🏻♂️. Called in the next morning to check on status and update on when to expect to pick car up and no one could give a solid answer or knew what to do with the car. It wasn’t until lunch that our sales guy called and heavily inferred that had I just spoke with him he would have taken care of getting car in but since he didn’t know car was dropped off yesterday it has been sitting there in parking lot untouched. Clearly the customers fault, not dealerships lack of communication internally. When pressed how the service manager who handed us the night before didn’t relay information to his team the story changed and now a simple upgrade wasn’t good enough and the has to swap parts. When asking what part was being swapped or how long that would take our salesman got aggressive and kept talking over me implying it wasn’t his job since he wasn’t in service department to know the fix. Asking for him to find out was an inconvenience to him and he let me know as much. After 3 hours of waiting I got a text message back saying car would not be ready until close and could still not tell me what actual problem or replacement part was. After some text exchanges I was suddenly informed that car that would not be ready for 4 more hours was ready for pickup. Fast forward to getting to dealership. Go to service counter and told vehicle is not ready for pick up yet. I point to my vehicle parked up front and ask if it’s finished. Techs cannot tell me yes or no. I’m given my keys and turn car on and thankfully CarPlay was working and installed. At this point the salesman is avoiding me and service has no clue about a bill for service (fee agreed upon at time of sales). After tracking down the shady salesman and then going back to service was my bill found. Promptly paid and vow to not return to this dealership for any service or future vehicle purchases. Communication can greatly improve along with general customer service skill. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to deal with salesman we had though. Zaid is the worst More
Let the horrible reviews speak for themselves. This dealership uses the typical bait and hook tactic. Advertise a price (but doesn’t include “dealer add-ons”.) The dealer add-ons are a weak tact This dealership uses the typical bait and hook tactic. Advertise a price (but doesn’t include “dealer add-ons”.) The dealer add-ons are a weak tactic to sucker people into paying for unnecessary products. They will say the add-ons are optional but don’t be fooled. After repeating myself countless times that I wouldn’t be paying their $5800 in add-ons, I eventually left. I’m a solid buyer and also loyal. Not only did they lose my business but also my daughter’s. She was in the market for a Hyundai and I warned her about this dealer. She bought with another Hyundai dealer and the experience was painless. Two sales in less than a week this place lost. I will never step foot on this lot again. More
Russell Westbrook should be ashamed of having his name associated with this dealership. This dealership should have its licensed pulled. I'm copying this email and pasting it on the DMV website so they ca associated with this dealership. This dealership should have its licensed pulled. I'm copying this email and pasting it on the DMV website so they can shut it down. I was working a deal with them until after closing and when they wouldn't commit, they suggested that the bank had already closed so they couldn't approve my terms. They said they would call me the following morning with the bank's answer. They didn't call me back for 5 days. When they finally called me back, they said they had sold that car the same night and they had something similar if I was still interested. First of all, how can you sell the same care to other customers the same night I was working a deal? If I would have agreed to their outrageous terms, does that mean the car would have been sold twice that night? Bunch of lying thieves. BTW guys, next time you decide to eat your dinner, don't do it out in the open where I could see and then come back and say you're working out a deal. It looked more like you were working on swallowing that Bic Mac and fries. More
