I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Garden State Honda. After receiving a recall notification for my vehicle, I called the dealership and scheduled an appointment. I arrived on time and was told the recall service would take about 1–2 hours. While I was there, they also recommended additional service, which I approved based on the estimated completion time. Hours went by with very little communication. Around 4:30 PM, after waiting more than four hours, I was finally told they could not complete the recall because they did not have the necessary parts in stock. I was then told that I had supposedly made the appointment online, implying that was the reason the parts were not ordered. However, that was not true—I called the dealership directly and the appointment was made by their receptionist. To make matters worse, I was told a manager might be able to provide one of the limited parts they had available, so I continued waiting. At 5:00 PM, I asked for an update because I was supposed to be in New York for an appointment. I was told it would be another 30 minutes. I didn’t receive my vehicle until approximately 6:00 PM, only to be told I would need to return on another day because the recall could not be performed. As a result, I lost work time, incurred additional expenses, wasted more than four hours of my day, and missed other commitments. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of accountability and the absence of even a simple apology. If a dealership schedules a recall appointment, it should verify that the required parts are available before asking customers to take time off work and wait for hours. This experience showed a serious lack of communication, planning, and respect for customers’ time. More

They turned me away and told me to return the next day. Tuesday: I handed over my keys. The car has remained in Honda’s 100% custody ever since. Wednesday (12:30 PM): Advisor Henriquez texted me the AC "working fine." This was my written confirmation that the repair was successful. Wednesday (3:29 PM): The story flipped. They admitted they ran out of refrigerant dealership wide. They left my system empty overnight despite my written concern that I didn't want to risk damage to the secondary parts. Thursday Morning: Suddenly, I am hit with an $1,874.39 quote for a dead compressor. A part that was "fine" on Wednesday is now "broken" on Thursday after sitting in their care while they were short on supplies Friday: As of Friday afternoon, the quote has fluctuated three times for the exact same repair: Original Quote: $1,874.39. Today’s Quote: $1,981.49 plus tax. ( refer to pictures ) Suddenly labor has dropped from a 4-hour job estimate ($799.80) to a 2.1-hour "Warranty" estimate ($357.44). They left me with no shuttle, no loaner, and a massive bill for their own equipment failure. I am posting the all interaction footages on my page later. I brought in my car for an oil change after a different place told me there was a leak. Cheyenne was a pleasure to deal with. He was polite, personable, and seemed to genuinely enjoy his job.
