My biggest concern was the rattle in the dashboard. I was called and informed by the service department that they “could not get the vehicle to reproduce the rattle and therefore couldn't repair it.” W I was called and informed by the service department that they “could not get the vehicle to reproduce the rattle and therefore couldn't repair it.” When I picked the vehicle up and left the lot it started rattling as soon as I turned on Beal Pkwy and continued the entire hour ride home. Bottom line is that the service guys didn’t want to mess with it, and made ZERO attempt to get the vehicle to reproduce the sound. I will never be back to Gary Smith Ford, and I will never buy another Ford. More
I have used the service department at Gary Smith Ford twice this year. Both times I’ve been very happy with the results. With their help we may even get another 20 years out of our 2005 Mustang! twice this year. Both times I’ve been very happy with the results. This was by far the worst service experience I’ve ever had. I dropped my truck off for an oil change, tire rotation, and replacement of an oil sensor. I was told it would be ready in three days. Then my S had. I dropped my truck off for an oil change, tire rotation, and replacement of an oil sensor. I was told it would be ready in three days. Then my Service Representative informed me there was a delay. The next day, he updated me they had received the wrong part but would make sure to verify the correct one when reordering. In the meantime, I was told there were no rental vehicles available from Hertz. A week after dropping off the truck, Jonathan told me they still weren’t sure when the part would arrive because the person who handles orders was out sick. When I finally asked if I needed to speak with a manager, suddenly a Ford Bronco “loaner” appeared for me to use until my truck was fixed. In total, they had my truck for two full weeks. When I finally picked it up, I found tools left in the bed, the battery cover missing, no new oil-change sticker on the windshield, and my driver’s floor mat tossed in the back of the truck. On top of that, all four tires were underinflated—each at 30 PSI instead of the recommended 35. Completely unacceptable service from start to finish. More
