Bluetooth/radio/transmission I dropped my truck off on Monday 06-17 to have them check out the truck as I was about to have 36,000 miles and would lose the factory warranty. I was concerned for 2 reasons, one the amount of trouble I have had with the transmission which has been worked on many many times and 2 the static that occurs before the phone on the receiving party starts to ring. The dealership did check the truck and said all was well but was unable to correct the static that occurs when placing a call thru the Bluetooth which was heard by Peggy when I left the truck with them. According to the the person working on it said they contacted Ford and they were not able to pin point the problem in order to correct it. He further stated that he thought it was a phone problem so I took it to Verizon and them do a complete annalist of the phone and they could not find anything wrong with it even after testing it thru their Bluetooth device. Ed Bentley stated that there were going to be engineers there on 06-25 and this subject would be discussed at that time and he would call me on the 26th. Having not heard for him I called him on the 27th and was told the engineers were not aware of this issue and have to do more research when they returned from where ever they came from and get back to him. This issue has been to the dealership many times for the same reason, without being fixed. I'm now waiting on the response from the Ford engineers as to resolving this issue, hopefully it will be soon as this has been going on for a long time. The service rendered by all the dealership personal has always been outstanding and even this time it was great, but it is very frustrating. when the static occurs when we use the Bluetooth. Great Dealership I was put into the position of buying a new car last year. I was hesitant in going to Ford, even though when my dad was alive; he worked at Ford Tract I was put into the position of buying a new car last year. I was hesitant in going to Ford, even though when my dad was alive; he worked at Ford Tractor H.Q. and we get a discount. The problem was, last time I did buy a new Ford and had it in for service(back in Michigan some 20 odd years ago) I was in the show room and asked the salesman when he approached me about a car, what the price would be with my dad's discount; he had the gall, to turn around without saying a word and walked away. When I went into Gary Yeoman's to buy my Focus, I wasn't able to get a pin number to get my discount, but they sure as xxxx worked with me and were friendly and courteous. I just came in for maintenance and was greated with a smile and have you been taken care of? I wasn't told, you need this or that. I said I was in for maintenance, written up for what I needed and told, advise on anything over. Next thing you know, my car is done. She's all ready to go for only $44!!! Just an oil change and tire rotation and fluid top offs. Everything else was fine. I was told to have a great weekend with a smile and left thinking, maybe I did make the right choice, giving Ford another shot and that I DID make the right choice, in going to Gary Yeoman's. Oh, they have a "cafe" in the waiting area in the service department. Bloody thing has a full menu!!! P.S. The whole complex is very clean and everyone, I mean everyone, was in a good mood and had a genuine look on their face, that they enjoyed working there. I'm picky on who works on my car, since I'm not mechanical and this dealership is going to be the only one. More
