The staff has always been helpful, considerate, friendly and knowledgeable. The service staff has given me great advice, accommodated my needs, kept me informed, tried to get me out as quickly as possible and made it feel so friendly. They have even at times fit me in last minute to check and repair my tire. They truly make you feel like you are a friend. They have always been great and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I highly recommend them to anybody who needs service done to their vehicle. I am happy that Mark Miner was hired to the staff. He is a true joy to talk with. I believe him a great addition to the staff. More

I have rather exacting standards because sports cars were my youthful hobby in California and Europe, so I was rather pleased to see a clean work area, diligent staff, and speedy no-nonsense billing and service. I am not certain about the exact number, but everyone from the person who cheerfully answers the phone to the mechanics who skillfully do the hands-on vehicle work, all of them have provided us with EXCELLENT experiences. Although we did not purchase our two vehicles from Gates, we have brought them there to be serviced. Why???...because Paul Bacon, the gentleman who 'sold' us both of them, joined the Gates team! We have encouraged friends to seek his advice when they had problems with their vehicles and solutions provided elsewhere were far from optimal. When it is time for us to bid farewell to our vehicles, Paul will be our 'go to' guy for sure! In the Service Department, Randy Ingle is just terrific. He manages to fit our 'emergencies' into the busiest of schedules. We are exceedingly pleased with all of our experiences at Gates which even include a ride to or from home when necessary. Now, that is service above and beyond for sure!!!! More

Bought the precertified used 2010 Nissan Sentra in July 2010 - December 31 the muffler had coroded off with less than 35,000 miles. After sitting in the dealership for approximately an hour the service man 2010 - December 31 the muffler had coroded off with less than 35,000 miles. After sitting in the dealership for approximately an hour the service manager and a sales rep informed that they would not cover the repair and I would be responsible for a $400+ muffler replacement. Subsequently went to a muffler shop and learned this is a design defect in the Nissan products as they try to weld carbon steel flanges on to stainless steel mufflers and this national muffler repair shop said Nissan repairs for this same defect are a big part of their business. This Dealership: 1 - Said they did a thouough inspection which is not possible given my muffler fell off due to corrosion. This would have been clearly evident in july when I bought the car 2 - Lied to my face when they blamed the corrosion on New England road salt. They clearly knew about the faulty design and had probably proffited off the repairs of 4, 5 year old out of warranty vehicles. Having it happen in less than 3 years and 36,000 miles must have been a surprise as it was to me with less than 3,500 miles. 3 - I can only describe the salesman as a gangster as he followed me out of the sales room in the attempt to confront me and start a fight - I'm sure he picks many with 65 year old dissatisfied customers 4 - I just wished you had a grade less than 1 for this low rent firm More
