Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership. In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

First off, I know no dealership cares about their customers, at the end of the day they want to make there money at any cost. I felt cheated especially with paying for a $220 sticker on the tailgate which made no sense. On top of that I had to pay for the running boards when I didn't want to but it's too late and now they are on back order for who knows how long. That's why I didn't want them cause I know they would be. Also if the truck comes with the running boards you shouldn't sell the truck unless everything is on it that it comes with. Then I'm getting hassled on coming to the dealership, being told "you have to come in now to get this truck before its gone", like seriously?? I have a job, I can't just leave work to look at a truck. Obviously I need to work to pay bills and being told I need to come down there right away is rude and disrespectful. Especially attitude from financial people or whoever it is above the salesman where they talk to about numbers. At the end of the day, you don't care about your customers on what they want, you care about your high interest rate and squeezing as much out of them as you can. You can never just listen to what the customers want. I completely understand the shortage with everything and vehicles but it doesn't mean you rush everyone to make a sale. You need to start listening to what your customers want, not what you want to make off them. UPDATE, they call me yesterday saying they will refund me on my running boards and now they change there mind and send it to my loan, sounds like you should have listened to me when I bought the truck and took it off. I'm at work getting calls and in a bad area and lost signal with one of the ladies and she tells her boss then he leaves me a rude voicemail saying I hung up which I didn't amd I even called him back and left him a voicemail apologizing saying I lost signal where I work. Then the lady had the audacity to tell me I will get a discount on the spray bedliner if I promise to give a perfect score on a survey and prove it, talk about UNPROFESSIONAL and not suppose to say that to a customer. Then she tells me that I can just put the wheel locks on my self and I can just slap them on, just FYI a wheel lock is you have to take off one of the lug nuts and put the lock one on so Cleary she didn't know so you shouldn't be telling someone that. Very UNPROFESSIONAL how I've been getting treated . Apparently my truck came with black bowtie and wheel locks that I haven't even received. I wonder what else is missing from my truck you guys failed to mention. They wanted to charge me originally $600 to spray the bedliner then when I declined it, I went to service and asked them how much for the bedliner spray and they tell me $400.....WOW you guys were going to rip me off. And you say you car about your customers.....clearly not just the bottom dollar you take from us. This is how you treat a veteran. What is the corporate number?
