Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. We want you to become a part of the Gateway Chevrolet family, and believe, just as Joe Gambino, Sr did, that a family run business is the best type of business.
A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

The only reason i go there its because i payed already for the service when i bought my vehicle, every time they do a half job and getting worst in the experience i had with them, maybe other people had b for the service when i bought my vehicle, every time they do a half job and getting worst in the experience i had with them, maybe other people had better, its to the point i need to mark my tires and filter to make sure they did it, every time i go even the car wash is broken or something, maybe they doing things intentionally because i wrote a bad review once or they always do that, but if you want a good review do a good job not perfect but good at least, every time i go there i start fresh because its always a deferent service advisor and i understand cant blame one for what others did, and when you tell the advisor they act like they doing you a favor even though you paid already for a service, but in my personal experience with them i cant give a good review More

I worked with service and they had my vehicle ALL day, and they only completed half pf my service. I probably won’t ever use them again, because at the end of the day the asked me to keep my car an additi and they only completed half pf my service. I scheduled an appointment but when i got there they told me it was going to take 4 to 5 hours for them JUST to look at my car. Then, why they make appointment if they are not going to respect the time assi me it was going to take 4 to 5 hours for them JUST to look at my car. Once the issue was determined, then things started to go smoother. Car came back with scuffs.
