Sales experience excellent, everything else not as good We were met by Omar Polo, salesman, and told him we were interested in a 2018 Acadia. He showed us all of the features and was very professional and We were met by Omar Polo, salesman, and told him we were interested in a 2018 Acadia. Took the car for a test drive and enjoyed the ride, so we asked for the best out the door price and what our trade in allowance would be. Then we met Summer, who was the "closer". We finally settled on a price, but it took too much haggling and the extra charges they put on such as the Gateway Luxury Package is way overpriced. If I bought another car from them I definitely would not get this for $976. Alex in finance did a nice job. He came off a little abrupt and harsh in the beginning, but then loosened up and was easy to talk to. Morgan did a nice job going over the technical parts of the car such as On Star and Apple Car. Unfortunately, I had to return to the dealer on Monday to get this Gateway Luxury Package put on (tinting of windows and a cheap seal corner guard on the doors). Per Summer it was on all of the cars they sold, but this car didn't have it. They had a share ride service take me home so I didn't have to wait, as well as pick me up when the car was ready. They also charge you $229 for an insurance policy. If your car is stolen, they give you $2,500 towards a purchase of a new vehicle in their inventory. This did not sound like a good investment so I asked to have it removed and to receive a credit. David Burnside, the manager, did not respond professionally to my request and was argumentative. I explained this was an option and I didn't need it or want it. Finally, after going back and forth, they provided me with the credit. They could have handled this a lot better and be more customer service oriented, especially for $229 and I paid full price for the vehicle. Lastly, we are happy with our purchase so far after 5 days and would highly recommend Omar to be your sales person. More

Awesome Experience AGAIN!! My Husband and I have purchased multiple cars on the same day for many years. Donald Cummings and team are the reason we come back. They are more like family to us. David greeted us at the door with a VERY NEW 2 day old sales person Mark and they all surrounded him to ensure that he was supported as he took care of us on our purchase. What Mark was unaware of is that when we come to Gateway Chevrolet to look for a car we tend to buy that same day so it was going to be a great sales day for him :) We were excited to be his first sale at this location. While we waited he offered to drive us to get lunch. We had time to learn more about him and his experience. He has a super big heart to help people when purchasing a car and takes his time to get to know his client to ensure we offers them exactly what they want. My husband and I are both in jobs that work with the public and Mark, Donald, Tony, Jolie and our Chicago friend and Finance guy Nick all represent the type of customer service we try to give in our business.
