I am a Ma having your name tarnished please make your way down to Gateway Kia of North Brunswick. I purchased a 2026 Kia Sportage on January 24 2026. I am a Maryland resident and purchased from Gateway due to a family member referring me. As of March 2 2026 , I still do not have plates on my vehicle. My temporary tags expired on Feb 22 2026. I contacted the dealership regarding my plates because I did not hear anything. On February 10 , they finally "supposedly " began to work on my tags and registration. My car was towed on March 1 due to my tags being expired. I then had to pay $320 to get my car returned to me and also spend additional funds to go to the tow yard. I then was told by the dealership to contact Maryland's motor Vehicle because the third party that is used for out of state tags informed them that i have an insurance hold. I contacted MVA and was informed that Gateway never sent over my trade in agreement so Maryland placed a lien hold on my account. MVA informed me that they had no record from Gateway that the car was purchased . I also was made aware that Gateway never submitted any needed documentation within the 30 day time frame . I then spoke with Ms Lisa who handles tags, she stated that she contacted the third party and they stated they have never submitted any of the needed documentation. I then had to take off of work and go to my Local MVA and provide them with the trade in agreement for the hold to be removed from my account . This entire situation has continued to be a complete nightmare and inconvenience. Lastly , I have continued attempting to contact the dealership asking to speak with the Sales Manager Anthony and I have continued to get the run around and never received a call back . This has been the absolute worst experience of my life. I love Kia overall , but after this experience i'm not really sure how long I will remain a customer. Today is March 5 and I still have not heard from any management at Gateway Kia to rectify this issue. So before you head over to Gateway Kia of North Brunswick just think to yourself if you would like to experience being lied to, ignored and humiliated. Sincerely a very Dissatisfied Customer More
I am writing this review after multiple negative experiences with Gateway Kia, despite being a repeat customer currently on my third lease with this dealership. My first leased vehicle experience experiences with Gateway Kia, despite being a repeat customer currently on my third lease with this dealership. My first leased vehicle experienced a serious safety issue when the seat motor caught fire, causing an electrical fire inside the car. Following that incident, I was without a vehicle for approximately six weeks before the dealership ultimately agreed to replace it. More recently, when I turned in my previous lease in early January, the salesperson handling the return did not request the extra key at the time of turn-in. Several weeks later, I received a notice from Kia Finance charging me $375 for a missing extra key. I returned to the dealership with the extra key in my possession to resolve the issue and explained that it had never been requested of me. During a subsequent conversation with the salesperson and a manager, the salesperson claimed that he had asked for the key and that I told him I was unsure whether I had it. This conversation did not occur. Despite the fact that I have the key and made a good-faith effort to resolve the matter in person, the dealership is refusing to take responsibility for the error or cover the fee. Given my history with Gateway Kia and the seriousness of both the past safety issue and the current dispute, I am disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer service. I JUST RETURNED MY LEASE ON DECEMBER 2024. SAL GAVE ME GOOD DEAL. MY PROBLEM IS: THAT FINANCE KID - "TIMOTHY TINDELL NEEDS TOO BE REMOVED!!! WHEN I WENT AND DID MY PAPERWORK WITH HIM I WAS ASK SAL GAVE ME GOOD DEAL. MY PROBLEM IS: THAT FINANCE KID - "TIMOTHY TINDELL NEEDS TOO BE REMOVED!!! WHEN I WENT AND DID MY PAPERWORK WITH HIM I WAS ASKING HIM QUESTIONS AND HE "RUDELY WAS VERY IMPATIENT WITH ME! NOW, I COULDVE GOTTEN GHETTO ON HIM BUT I CHOSE TOO HUMBLE MYSELF AND TAKE IT!! ANYBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GONNA ASK QUESTIONS WHEN BUYING A NEW CAR!!! HIS RESPONSE WAS " I ALREADY ANSWERED YOU! AND HIS TONE REALLY GOT TOO ME. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! AT LEAST "NOT" TOO ME!! I PUT IN A COMPLAINT AND WAS TOLD IT WENT TOO THE SALES MANAGER " ANTHONY LUONGO AND NOTHING WAS DONE! IM TAKING THIS MATTET FURTHER!!! THERES A WAY TOO TALK TOO PEOPLE. I WILL FIGHT THIS MATTER TOO THE BITTER END! TIMOTHY TINDELL NEEDS TOO BE REMOVED FROM THERE!!! WHO THE .... GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TOO SCOLD PEOPLE?! (NOT I). I HAD TOO LITERALLY TELL HIM TOO "WATCH HIS TONE WHEN TALKING TOO ME!!! IM NOT ACCEPTING THIS!!! AND I WILL NOT STOP "UNTIL" SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT HIM!! IM "NOBODYS PUSHOVER OR NOBODYS "BRUSHOFF!! DO NOT service your KIA EV at this location. My EV6 was towed here on June 7th, and nearly six months later, they still have my vehicle with no substantive updates during this entire time. The onus was on me to call every few weeks to see if any progress had been made. It is now NOVEMBER and they still have not repaired my car. And to be perfectly clear, at this point I no longer want the car back—I want my money back. More
Bri in the service department is the most helpful, friendly, and will go out of her way for you. Always a pleasant visit and the shuttle driver James is the man. Takes you home picks you up anytime you have to leave your ride. Makes great conversation on the way home. Drives safe and smooth gets me there and back in excellent time. Everyone from service techs to my ace salesman Edwin does their thing professionally, courteously, and keeps you coming back. The service department management should do better job when it comes to the customer service. Richard is one of the worse at this. Not much knowledge and very nasty. The service is the worst , Richard is very condescending and incompetent . Twice i was told my car didn't have any issue, and both time need to go back fore some major work . They take advantage of seniors by railroading them in to trading an owner's car for a leased car. They tell you on the phone that they need to order a part (that you can get within the hour) but when you ar trading an owner's car for a leased car. The next morning when you call miraculously the part arrived just minutes ago. Do not even consider this dealership for even the minor of any service. Go to any other dealership with a rating of three stars or better even if you have to drive an hour away. Save yourself time, money and aggravation and a need of sanitizing yourself. Run don't walk away from this place. More
