Be aware of this dealership to change MSRP more than $4000 up and then negotiate the price. They are very unprofessional people, price manipulators, and liars. $4000 up and then negotiate the price. They are very unprofessional people, price manipulators, and liars. More
Closed a lease deal with salesman Lorenzo, deal included a rebate. All seemed well, salesman was to stop by our house t0 next day to take a picture of our old nissan lease agreement, said this was part of t a rebate. All seemed well, salesman was to stop by our house t0 next day to take a picture of our old nissan lease agreement, said this was part of the rebate. Never showed, so I went to dealership in good faith on Monday to give them copy of lease agreement. A week later received a call from tom the manager saying we need a copy of old registration for rebate, this was the first mention of this. I had already turned the nissan into nissan dealer with registration inside. Also attempted to get a copy from motor vehicles out of good faith as this was not my problem, dealer never asked for this before. Could not secure copy, and manager told me either pay us the 1000 for rebate or Ill take you to court!!!They did!! wasted a day in court as did my daughter who was a witness to deal, and my son in law who took day off work to be with me. Judge ruled in my favor. The salesman and manager suing me were at fault for not securing proper documents at time of deal. There was another couple in court with us at same time being sued by Burrows for same rebate!!Their case was thrown out too ( review written on behalf on my father I was present for original deal and court) Also, they added a 400 early termination fee and a 400 disposition fee that was not pointed out to me. Buyer Beware!!!!!!! More
Wanted to purchase a used car from them and trade my car in. Upon inspection I there used car the front headlight was out and oil was dripping very slowly from the front of the vehicle. Mind you our vehicle in. Upon inspection I there used car the front headlight was out and oil was dripping very slowly from the front of the vehicle. Mind you our vehicles were within hundred of dollars difference in price from multiple car value websites. Understand that the dealorship and sales person aren't there for there health. I had a number in mind of about 2,000 to 2500 out the door. They came at me for 7,900 out the door and take the car as is. After going back and forth and no numbers changing at all. I wanted to leave but guess who had my keys which I told them multiple times to find them since they couldn't find the person who had them. Fast forward to the next day when I had 4 missed calls and 1 voicemail to call them back and that we can make a deal because some wholesaler was in town and well give you top dollar for your car. Called back and they asked what I wanted to make a deal and I told them and without a counteroffer I heard someone which had to be the used car manager in the background say "just hang up on him" on which manny did. I didn't call back since its not worth my time to talk to these liars, scammers and xxxx of people. I'm not saying everyone that works there is but the few that I came into contact with we're. Stay away from this dealorship or they might pull a fast one on you and when you find out its going to be too late. People that were satisfied here were probably taken advantage of and didn't even notice guarantee you. More
Stay away from this place ! I have a much better appreciation for the lemon law after buying from this place. 3rd day after buying a vehicle in "perfect condition" I was "lucky" enough to find and b appreciation for the lemon law after buying from this place. 3rd day after buying a vehicle in "perfect condition" I was "lucky" enough to find and buy at the price I did, I found out the trans was bad. Took it back and they wanted nothing to do with it. Sales transferred me to finance, finance to service, service back to sales, spoke to 6 people over a period of 1hr+ and no resolution. Had to take it to another dealer and spend quite a bit of money. Stay away! More
Never visit this dealership!!! I think that they thought that just because I am female that I had stupid sucker written across my forehead. Their markups on cars are through the roof! They tried to get me that just because I am female that I had stupid sucker written across my forehead. Their markups on cars are through the roof! They tried to get me to pay over $29,000 for a vehicle that was only worth $19,000. The sales manager Marc that I dealt with was extremely rude and pushy. He told me I should settle for the crank windows because it would give me extra exercise...really?!?! Tried to push a lease on me as well as their financing instead of through my own credit union. After coming down on their price (to $21,666) I noticed on their paperwork, that they had changed the vehicle...to one worth even less! As another reviewer stated, they had my car keys just about the entire time I was there. Fortunately, they were returned to me at my first request. Needless to say, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a car dealership! After 3.5 hours, all I left with was a headache! More
Bait & Switch! Price markups over $6000. Loans promised and then not given at the promised percent or length of time. Trade offered and then lowered over $2000. Called 8 times and they would not r promised and then not given at the promised percent or length of time. Trade offered and then lowered over $2000. Called 8 times and they would not return my calls. AVOID this dealer at all costs. Drove over 50 miles because they said they had the car and when I asked the price they told me $21,775 but when I got there they had added a little sticker that added $6995 since it was a rare color!! OMG! They are high pressure and liars! More
This was the most deceitful, abrasive dealership I have ever encountered. We went there after a phone conversation with a salesman since they had the car we wanted to purchase. We told them we could not t ever encountered. We went there after a phone conversation with a salesman since they had the car we wanted to purchase. We told them we could not take possession of the car untill the following week. We had to turn in our leased Acura first. It was no problem over the phone but a big problem once we got there. They were like vultures with their prey. They lied to us and were giving us the hardest, most abrasive sell I have ever seen. They were trying to force us into taking the car that night and told us our plates/registration were not transferable which was a lie. We left feeling scammed and abused. We would never purchase a car there. More
ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY. First things first we all know ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY. First things first we all know that dealerships are in business to make money, and they ALL tell you things you want to hear ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY. First things first we all know that dealerships are in business to make money, and they ALL tell you things you want to hear to get you to make a sale. However some are better than others in the way they misrepresent. Gateway Kia is the WORST dealership I have ever dealt with and would never recommend it to even my worst enemy. First things first they are SLOW. They take all your information and disappear for 20 minutes at a time. It was 3 hours before I got my FIRST price offer. I was getting VERY impatient. The price was no where near what I wanted to pay (this is natural and would be the case at any dealership though), but when I asked them to show me how they came up with that number they kept changing the subject. I wanted to lease a Sportage for $250 a month using a used Elantra as a deposit. Thier price was 375+ a month to begin with. I know a thing or two about vehicle pricing and coming up with lease numbers so I wanted them to go through how they came up with the numbers and they just wouldn't. I had given them the keys to my current car so they could "appraise" it. I asked several times for my keys back so I could walk out because they were no where near what I could afford. They kept saying "ok we will go get the keys" and disappearing and coming back with a new offer instead of the keys. Only after I threatened to call the police did they give me my keys back. They add a $4,000 package to EVERY car which includes a USB cable (worth about 10 cents), pinstripe (worth about 10 dollars), a cargo net (worth about 50 cents), and a remote start (installed for $100 at wal-mart). They base their prices off the vehicles MSRP + this $4000. Then they make you feel like you are getting a great deal by taking off $5000. All you are really getting is $1000 off the MSRP which they make up for in their "fees". Ie they charge you a $400 documentation fee (registration, etc) when all it really costs through DMV is $75. Finally we were able to negotiate a fair price. How here is when it gets bad. Remember how I said I was trying to trade in a Hyundai and use that as a down payment? Well that vehicle was leased and had 12 payments remaining on it. I was not looking to end that lease early and has no reason to do so, the only reason I did it is because they told me "We do this every day, we will pay off the balance of your lease, take it off your hands, and get you into a new lease". I asked several times and they told me multiple times there are "ABSOLUTELY NO FEES, CHARGES, PENALTIES, ETC" related to doing this and they did it "EVERY DAY". They told me that thier manager had called Hyundai Motor Finance and worked out this deal. So I agreed to do it. They told me the check for the remaining lease payments would be ready by that Thursday (6 days later). I just got it yesterday 22 days later. Every time I called to inquire "the manager was out of the office today". So when I go to turn in the lease for the Hyundai I am told that no one from gateway Kia ever called them, this would be treated as a repossession on my credit, I would be charged THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in fees, and I would have to pay the difference between the residual value of the car and what is sold for at auction. Hyundai said they would NEVER tell a dealership that they would agree to a deal like that. Gateway Kia flat out LIED to me just to make the sale. Every time I tried to call them to straighten it out I was told "this person is off today" or "that person will call you back". Only after I foled complaints with the BBB and NJ State Attorney General's office did they call me back. I am still no where near satisfied but I don't want to deal with this place anymore. I cannot wait for the day I can turn this car in and be done with Gateway Kia. I will NEVER recommend anyone to this dealership. I will NEVER have service, parts, labor done here. This place is full of LIARS and SCAMMERS and CHEATERS. Do yourself a favor and go ELSEWHERE before you get taken for boatloads of money like I did. More
Worst Dealership I have ever dealt with!!! The prices on the cars are all marked up by at least $5000 so they can claim to give you 5000 off the price. They say they can match or beat any competitor pricing the cars are all marked up by at least $5000 so they can claim to give you 5000 off the price. They say they can match or beat any competitor pricing yet when you present it they say that they cant do it. They say they cannot accept offers from truecar.com Their website says credit approval guarenteed or they will pay you $1000 in cash which is not true they can only approve like any other dealer. They will not give offers over the phone they would rather get you there and then not do anything that they promised over the phone when you get there. Horrible experience as you can tell by the way I am writing that I dont even need to explain what happened when I went there. Oh by the way I had to go there about 4 or 5 times and they are over an hour away. Stay away!!!! More

I just wanted to take the opportunity to express both mine and my husband's gratitude for the friendliest and most professional manner your dealership extended to us. I have to admit that purchasing a car at Gateway Kia of North Brunswick with sales professionals such as yours was one of the most gratifying experiences I have had. Our salesperson took his time with us and was patient - to be sure we got the right car for our needs. The finance department was a pleasure to deal with as well. We never felt pressured. He took us through the financial contract and extended warranty portion, which we also purchased, with expert care and professionalism. I can honestly say that although we live a little over an hours drive away, we would not hesitate to return to Gateway Kia of North Brunswick to purchase another vechile in the future. Thank you for a wonderful deal and experience. More
