Really like our service guy, Adam Baugher. Nice and knowledgeable! However, I think that service after the sale is lacking due to the GM’s decisions he has handed down AND due to the guys who Nice and knowledgeable! I bought my 4runner at Gene Messer and I have returned for many service calls bc I drive a lot of miles. Gene Messer refuses to wash and clean the inside of my vehicle gratis. At that point I may as well have purchased it at any other Toyota dealership in Texas. What’s the point of staying local and loyal if they’re not going to treat me as a valued customer? Also, the last time they changed my oil they left the skid plate hanging down, my son had to crawl under my car to remove it, and I had to leave town the next day before being able to return to have Gene Messer reinstall it—we couldn’t do it bc the bolts were obviously at Gene Messer. And the bonus on that situation was that we went off roading for a whole week on the trip without a skid plate! Yesterday, when my husband took my vehicle to have the oil changed he ran into our brother-in-law, who was there for service. One of the things that he was having done was his tires rotated and balanced. When he left Gene Messer Toyota and pulled onto the road, his back right tire completely fell off and it destroyed the bed of his pick up and who knows what else because the people at Gene Messer Toyota failed to put on all the lug nuts. I mean who wants to go have their vehicle serviced at a place like that? More
