Cost $560, which is pretty insane for a fluid change. Did it anyways since I know people have had LSD issues with this car and I don't want the warranty to be rejected for any reason, should I be unlucky in the future. I also scheduled an oil change for the same day. Over the phone, I mentioned I had a pre paid Fidelity service coupon book and they said they'd handle it in person. When I got there, they told me my coupon for an oil change wouldn't work and that my booklet wasn't actually Fidelity (afterwards I called Genesis of Plano, where I had used it previously, and they confirmed it was indeed Fidelity). They never rejected the coupon book when I brought it up over the phone, so it was frustrating to be rejected at the dealership. I paid for the LSD fluid change like a sucker and left feeling pretty scammed. Texted them back once I got off the phone with Plano and got no response after over an hour (previously they called back within minutes), so here I am. I'll be driving twice as long to try another Genesis dealership next time. More
On September 19, 2025, I applied for financing with Genesis of Southwest Houston after speaking with Lisa, who promised additional photos of the 2025 GV70 and a credit application. The next morning, I texted Lisa for an update — she never replied and never sent the photos she promised. When I called later that day, I was told I would now be working with Saif. He quoted me $900/month for the new GV70 but gave me no details about the rate or loan terms. When I asked if the payment could be closer to $800/month, he said he would check with the finance manager. Instead of providing updated numbers, he suggested I settle for a used 2022 GV70 — which I clearly said I did not want. After that, I was completely ghosted. I have purchased vehicles before and have never been ignored by a dealership after submitting a credit application. For context, I have excellent credit, so this was not about financing ability — it was about unprofessional handling and lack of respect. After reading other Yelp reviews, I see my experience was not unique — other customers also report ghosting, poor communication, and misleading practices at this dealership. This was a very disappointing experience. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend Genesis of Southwest Houston. More
