Mr. Dave A. Thank you for informing us about your out of state purchase experience with our company. We take our customers reviews seriously and would like to know firsthand, how we can better ourselves to make sure our customers are receiving excellent customer care. We have built our company over the last 18 years by providing the best customer service that we can. If we have fallen short of that in any aspect, we would like to resolve the matter to ensure you have an overall positive experience. We are grateful that you have reached out to us and expressed your thoughts regarding your purchase. Thank you for the realization and acknowledgement that the vehicle you purchased was 14 years old and you knew there were going to be some imperfections. Nick showed you the video of the vehicle and the imperfections that you were made aware of. He told you they would be fixed; however, he did not elaborate that we were only going to touch up the particular scratches you wanted fixed. Normally on a 14 year old vehicle we would not get into painting body panels for scratches that were less than 6 to 8 inches in length and width. If you were made aware of the scratches being touch up only that you wanted fixed and it was not sufficient; you then in turn could of made a decision to pay extra for the repair or decide not to purchase the vehicle. We did have an inspection sheet on the vehicle from a local repair shop, and Nick failed email you the information. This is not a normal procedure with our company. You are right; we do not replace hoses, belts, and batteries with a maintenance inspection. It is only done when the repair shop has recommended it. The repair shop will not recommend prevention maintenance. If the customer requests prevention maintenance to be done, it will be at the buyer’s expense only. As far as the transport service, we help facilitate it as a courtesy for our customers. We have no control over transport companies or their drivers. We are always available to help if the customer has concerns regarding the transport procedures. However, sometimes there are unforeseen occurrences beyond our control. In summary, Nick is very aware of his failure to communicate in full with you regarding your concerns. He is a very reliable employee and all of us here at Genuine Motorcars appreciate his work. This has been a learning experience and valuable lesson for Nick and all of us at Genuine Motorcars Inc.
