I purchased a 2018 Equinox from another local dealer. It was probably the last new car I will purchase. Last year, right at the beginning of summer, the car would not start. I had it towed to the dealers It was probably the last new car I will purchase. Last year, right at the beginning of summer, the car would not start. I had it towed to the dealership where it sat for 3 months waiting for a chip to arrive on a slow boat from China. After I finally got it back, my husband tried to open the the sunshade so we could enjoy the air and it made a horrible noise and plastic clips popped out. Needless to say, we closed it. Now, the sunshade is flopping down in the front. We had only opened it maybe 10 to 15 times since we bought the car. When we brought the car in for an oil change, we asked them to look at it for us. We got a call from the service department who informed us that we would need to pay over $1200 to get it replaced. For real??? So, you mean to tell me that it cost me over $100 every time it was opened since we bought it and now you want to charge me another $1200 for it to open maybe another ten times? With all the money I paid for this car, I would think the company would stand behind their product, but obviously not. I have never been so disappointed with a car. It has less than 24,000 miles on it. Do better. More
