First off Frank Laurenzana was great person to buy a car from. I would recommend any of my friends and family to him. All the way through he made sure we were taken care of and felt at ease. He found wha from. I would recommend any of my friends and family to him. All the way through he made sure we were taken care of and felt at ease. He found what we needed and what met our budget. I am a sales man myself and i felt no need to be on the defensive side when he was showing us cars. We bought our tuscon because of Frank. We went in only to shop around and after talking to frank, me and my wife decided that we did not need to shop any further. I am more than happy to to put my wife who is due with our first child in two months in our new car and feel safe knowing that gerald is baking my new tuscon. So thanks again Frank Laurenzana and geralds sale team. Thank You, Josh More
Mike worked extremely hard to find the vehicle I was looking for. And the price I was willing to pay. He found our garnet red 2013 Tucson GLS and picked it up himself from another dealer. My previous car was a Toyota Camry LE (2002), which lasted until last Monday, April 1st. I knew a car purchase was in the near future because the Camry lasted me 230K miles. In addition, the rotors w lasted until last Monday, April 1st. I knew a car purchase was in the near future because the Camry lasted me 230K miles. In addition, the rotors were starting to go. I was also experiencing an issue with the car...when I accelerated too quick, the engine would make a revving sound and it took a while for the car to catch up and accelerate. I started to think this was the transmission, which is definetely something I wasn't willing to put a minimum of $2K into to fix, especially when I could easily put a down payment on a new/used car for $1K more. After taking the car into my mechanic that day, I was right with my assumption...the transmission was shot, car wasn't even driveable---time to shop! After taking a few test drives between the Honda CRV (2012), Toyota RAV4 (2013), and Hyundai Tucson (2013), I liked the smooth ride and pick-up of the Tucson...and the vehicle was right within my wife's and my budget. My wife and I decided to look into the Aurora Gerald Hyundai location due to a referral, my Aunt Marion had purchased a Sante Fe within the past year. She worked with Mike Stoffle and met with Doug Gerald as well. My father-in-law and I made an appointment and met with Mike last Friday, April 5th to see if the dealership had the right color, features, and price of the Tucson my wife and I were looking for. We had STRICT expectations of budget, what we'd put down, and interest expectations, looking for the MOST competitive values/prices the dealership could give. Throughout our experiences (my father-in-law, wife, and myself) with Mr. Stoffle, we were satisfied with his kind demeanor and open-ness to do the best he could with the sale and relationship. At first, my father-in-law and I were so focused on meeting the monthly payment and down payment criteria, that we didn't address whether Mike offered any amount off MSRP or list price of the car...my wife and I were still beyond our budget, which was set for us to be $22-24k total (license, title, doc fee, taxes). My father-in-law and I felt "tricked" that Mike didn't address this with us, knowing very well our budget criteria, etc. Later that afternoon, when my father-in-law called Mike via his cell, they eventually came to an agreement on bumping off an additional $1000 from the original list price (which was $24, 625), dealt to $23, 625. Unfortunately, the only way Mike would succomb to the price was for my father-in-law to threaten to "walk away" from the sale. On Saturday, April 6th, my wife, Valerie, and I went to the dealership that morning to finalize the paperwork, my wife's credit check, etc. Our credit was average, so we weren't able to get the floor 3% rate that we wanted...but we got in the low 4 percentile, which was ok. The dealership was competitive in shopping around for the best financing, in which, overall, we were satisfied. Mike stuck to his promise, re-writing the paperwork to reflect the #1000K deduction, which also adjusted taxes, doc fee, etc. Valerie and I then met with Eddie to iron out the details of our financing paperwork. He offered some additional warranties, which included the "wrap" warranty and the interior coverage warranty-that way we were covered on almost EVERYTHING. Originally, we weren't going to take it, due to Eddie's initial offer taking my wife and I out of our budget expectations...but he budged, brought our montly payment down to what was comfortable AND the interest...SOLD. In the end, we had a good experience with the dealership, Mike Stoffle, and Eddie. They were able to work beyond our obstacles and adjust prices, rates, etc to what was comfortable. Out the door, we spent a little over our budget price, but in the end, we ended up with a great vehicle and felt the extra warranties were a good decision for the value. No issues so far...knock on wood. More
The first vehicle I ever purchased was at Gerald (Nissan pickup) decades ago. It's good to know that they still are the top notch dealer I remembered. I had the pleasure of working with Sam (in sales) and pickup) decades ago. It's good to know that they still are the top notch dealer I remembered. I had the pleasure of working with Sam (in sales) and found him to be honest and extremely patient. Sam is a really personable guy and knows his stuff. He spent a lot of time with me as I narrowed down my options on what I could afford. I will continue to recommend Gerald and especially Sam Katz. Very good experience More
I came to the dealership just to look at an Elantra Sedan and to test drive it. I wanted to be sure that this was the car for me before I decided to make a purchase. I told this to my sales associate right o and to test drive it. I wanted to be sure that this was the car for me before I decided to make a purchase. I told this to my sales associate right off the bat. He showed me the car and went through the basics, very quickly outside in the cold. I wanted to know what kind of difference they had between the 2012 and 2013 models because I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend on the new or get a gently used one for a better price. I test drove the 2013 and ended up liking it but he didn't even let me inside of the 2012. We went back to his desk and had me fill out a credit app. Mind you this was my first time actually having to finance a vehicle. I didn't know that they were running my credit right then and there. I wasn't aware of what they were doing. So the financing guy came over and told me that If I put down the max amount of what I wanted to put down and what I wanted to pay each month and all of that. I was NO way near ready to purchase a car. I thought I had made that clear at the beginning. The price that I was given was way out of what I wanted to put down and pay each month. I thought it was for a 2013 new model the one that I wanted but they priced me out for a 2012 model that I didn't even get to sit in! Unfortunately being a young single female, this is how I get treated. Fortunately I am educated and I was smart enough to try another dealership. The other dealership got me into a BRAND NEW one in the exact color with all of the features I wanted for LESS than what this dealership was offering with a lower APR and a payment that I am comfortable paying each month. The finance manager I talked to was pleasant and was very informative. That was really the only positive experience I had at this dealership. More
Brenden was extremely helpful. I did not feel pressured and was very pleased with my purchase. He followed through, even helped me clean out my car. Usually once the sale is done, the saleperson is gone. H and was very pleased with my purchase. He followed through, even helped me clean out my car. Usually once the sale is done, the saleperson is gone. He made sure that I had everything that I needed. I wasn't planning to buy that day, but it was such a positive experience I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I am so glad I did. I LOVE my Santa Fe. Ask for Brenden if you want expedient and quality care. He is great! More
We had a great experience at this dealership. Tom is a wonderful salesman, knowing the car inside and out. He answered all of our questions and was patient when we were making decisions. I must say that in 32 years of car buying I NEVER had a better buying experience. I initially wanted to see how much my trade in was worth. I was looking for a vehicle for my wife to replace her older SUV. better buying experience. I initially wanted to see how much my trade in was worth. I was looking for a vehicle for my wife to replace her older SUV. I walked into the showroom and I was not "ganged" up on the minute I walked in. Frank walked up to me, said "Good Morning" and asked if he could help me. From there it just went so well. I have experience in car buying, I know what I want and I know how much I am going to spend. Frank and the the Sales Manager Sonny worked with me completely. I received more for my trade in than I expected. As for discounts, Sonny gave me a Military discount for which I did not ask for. Once they found out I was an active duty Soldier, they just applied the discount and told me at the end. The veicle and package I decided on was not available on the dealership at that moment. I was told that I would be given a loaner vehicle of the same type and that if I changed my mind after driving it for a day or two, I could bring it back and they would find me something more suitable. The thing is, I never felt rushed and pushed into a decision or direction. I found that very comforting. Unbelievable as we are talking about the vehicle I wanted and what items I want on the car, a truck pulls up with about 10 cars on it including exactly the one I wanted. All in all it went so smoothly. The only reason why it took a little longer is because they had to do an inspection of the newly arrived vehicle and get it cleaned up. Although I am from Detroit and a Ford person at heart, I will definitely be returning to this dealership for my next vehicle purchase. More
