We test drove a lot of cars at different dealerships and dealt with numerous salespeople. Some were "old schoo" high pressure sales people, other were not, but by and far, Randy Celaya was the easiest, and dealt with numerous salespeople. We have been looking at Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata for few weeks. Then we decided to go and see and test drive the Optima. When we stepped into the dealership we met Vidal. Just want to say that Vidal was fantastic from the beginning. He has been very helpful . Due to his wonderful attitude and knowledge the balance has inclined to Optima in detriment of Sonata. So we bought the 2013 Kia Optima last Saturday. During the negations Vidal has been very helpful again . We are so pleased and recommend Vidal and the Gerald Kia to anyone wanting a great experience. Again thank you Vidal for all your help. We want also to thank you to James Brown for his help. He was great also. Also want to thank you to the finance manager Kevin Healy. We found Gerald Kia through the USAA auto buying program online. Within a short time of submitting our contact info, we received a call from our sales rep, Mike. He was friendly and courteous from the first online. Within a short time of submitting our contact info, we received a call from our sales rep, Mike. He was friendly and courteous from the first call through the entire sales process. Our transaction was different in the USAA did the preliminary negotiating for us and we arrived at the dealership already having test driven the vehicle we wanted to purchase and were more or less ready to buy. Mike and his sales manager, Jim, worked with us on taking our over loved Ford off our hands and getting us into a new Kia quickly and efficiently. We had our 2 year old with us and even he was impressed with the service (free popcorn and cookies and a playground of cars to check out!) I would highly recommend both Mike and Gerald Kia to anyone. From the moment we stepped onto the dealership, we were greeted kindly and relaxed, and there was no pressure throughout the entire visit were we felt uncomfortable or forced to buy anything. From my very first interaction with this service manager after buying my Kia somewhere else he was rude. He was difficult about giving me a loaner vehicle after I told him I had no other means of getting ar after buying my Kia somewhere else he was rude. He was difficult about giving me a loaner vehicle after I told him I had no other means of getting around. When I go there for service he is never friendly or kind. I dont feel this dealership is very diligent in their care for their customers or cars. The first time I brought it there was after being towed because it wouldnt start. they couldnt find any issue with the push start or the brake, even though I went online and found a ton of info about this same issue. Finally within weeks the car died totally, I had to pay to replace the battery on a 2011 but the issues continue. This was when he was difficult about the loaner car and even had the gall to "school" me on what other dealers do. This is not something Im unfamilair with. Ive owned the gamet of cars from Jeeps to Mercedes. I have friends that work at dealers and I didnt need his attitude. Regardless of what he thought of me. I sent an email complaining, but it went to him as the manager of service, so I received no response. So now Ive been there 2 or 3 times for 1 issue. Now Im back there because I received a recall notice, I also developed an issue with the back seats sticking in the upright position. And now the car is idiling very high and the transdmission sometimes slams into gear. When I go in Im told there is also an update for the windows, since they also dont go up and down properly. Ok, so I wait for the car. After 1 hr he tells me they dont have the part for the back seats, despite having an appt, can I come back and he will give me a loaner? The recall was addressed I assume and the windows issue. Thats another thing, when you pick up the car, no one bothers to address the issues and tell you what was done with the car. You pay and leave silently. So I return yesteray to pick it up. 2 days after I left it. Again no one is there to go over the car with me. I pay the cashier for the oil change I added and leave. I get a block away and look in the back seat. The seat is still upright! I get out to try to move it, I cant. Its still stuck. I go back. The service advisor comes out and says he saw them fix it but he will call the guy up. Im told it needs lube and I advise Jaime there is some sort of a spill on the back leather seats, I know it wasnt there prior. He tries to remove it but cant. I use a wipe from my purse and remove it and leave. He doesnt adress the idiling issue and I see on the paperwork nothing was done because they drove it and it seemed fine. I drive half a block away and it happens again. Im so fed up, I dont go back. At other dealers Ive experienced friendly faces, a willingness to go the extra mile and an effort to provide good service. Not so here. I wouldnt recommend this dealer to anyone. Nor would I ever treat people the way this dealer seems to. We all work in the service industry and the customer is supposed to be king...remember? More
