I sent a "Service Contact" email to Germain on 2-16-26 @ 1:43 pm. I then got a quick response text from (Alisha), She thought I was trying to buy a car and I said no, I was writing Service Dept. about an issue I'm having with my truck. She said ok, and that she would forward this to someone in Service. That same day at 6:16pm I got a call from a service advisor (Kelly Burns) on 2-16-26. I explained what was going on with my throttle body they installed in Sept. of 2021, and the throttle body was doing the same thing as in 2021, so I bought a new one and was in the process of replacing it myself. I removed 3 of the (8mm) bolts easily. I went to get the 4th one, and first off the bolt head was bigger and shorter and it was over tightene. I could not budge it even with penetrating oil, and a lot of force. They are only suppose to be 65-89 in. lbs. or 7 ft. lbs. The mechanic first must have lost or broke orig. bolt and either cross threaded or over torqued this bolt. I didn't want to be the one that breaks it, especially when their mechanic installed it. If you break it off, you will more than likely have to buy a new plastic intake, gaskets and whatever else is needed. Even though this was done in 2021, shouldn't matter. Also Kelly told me the mechanic that did this job isn't even there anymore. Makes me wonder did this mech. get let go because of sub standard work or left on his own, they wouldn't say. When Kelly and I talked on the phone on 2-16-26, I said I want to be made whole , since this was the mechanic/dealers fault. I cannot not drive the truck due to the TB condition, because its unsafe and stalls without warning. I wanted them to pay for the tow and removal & replacement of the bolt and anything that might need replaced due this bolt possibly breaking. He said he would have to talk to someone and would call me back tomorrow: Tues. Feb. 17th. I heard nothing from Kelly all week, until I called him Today: Fri. Feb. 20th this morning. He said he remembered our conversation on Mon. Feb. 16th, So he said I can call Sandy's towing and have them come out and get your truck. I then said I am not paying for the towing or the repairs. He said he would get back to me, but I called him back and had to leave a message wanting him to clarify that they were paying for the towing and the repairs. I get a call back but its someone else that's taking over for Kelly, I don't remember his name off hand. I explained all the same things and that I sent Kelly picture of the bolt and my service receipt and he said ok, I will look at that pic you sent Kelly and can you hold? I said yes, After 10 mins. of waiting he came on and said "if you get your truck towed here, I can have a mechanic look it over and let you know what it will cost". I said, so your not going to pay for the towing or the removal and replacement of the bolt and anything that might need replaced due to possibly breaking the bolt off? He said no, you'll have to pay for the towing and the repairs. He said since it was back in 2021, its been too long and I should have to pay for everything. My thought: I think the date and timeframe is irrelevant here. The mechanic/dealership was at fault, and even if the mechanic isn't working there anymore for whatever reason. He represents the dealership. It's like an Executive Officer on a Navy ship is the cause of a mishap or whatever, the Commanding officer suffers punishment as well, because he's overall in charge. I get it, the Mechanic is gone, and there not going to spend any additional money because he messed up and is gone. The money you would of spent to make me whole, you will lose a lot more than that after people read this review and many more on here that aren't so good. In the past I really had great experiences with the Service Dept. at Germain Ford, until this issue arose. I really thought they would make everything right with me. I will not buy parts or have truck serviced here any longer and I will not refer anyone. More
My experience with Germain Ford of Beavercreek was extremely disappointing. In my time interacting with the dealership, I encountered repeated issues with transparency and follow‑through. Promises mad extremely disappointing. In my time interacting with the dealership, I encountered repeated issues with transparency and follow‑through. Promises made during the sales process were not honored, and communication was inconsistent. I also observed high employee turnover and a work environment that did not seem supportive or respectful toward staff. These factors, combined with my own negative interactions, have led me to strongly recommend that others proceed with caution and carefully review all agreements in writing before doing business here. Our salesman Nick Nelson and finance rep Sarah were as helpful as could be. We finished up the paperwork remotely, which in hindsight we should've done in person but with a little back and forthing and he helpful as could be. We finished up the paperwork remotely, which in hindsight we should've done in person but with a little back and forthing and help from Sarah we eventually got to where we needed to be. I'd advise just staying at the dealership and signing the paperwork the old fashioned way..ink to paper. But all in all, it was a fantastic experience at Germain and would higher recommend their dealership. More
Colby and Travis really put in the work to earn my business. Colby followed through on my questions and made sure I was satisfied. I like the high use of tech to fill out the application and fill in business. Colby followed through on my questions and made sure I was satisfied.
