I really dislike shopping for a new vehicle. I was welcomed at a very busy time in the dealership by Evan. His sincerity in making my visit positive was evident right away. Though he was busy with another customer, he asked my interest and made a test drive happen in very short order. I was given contact numbers for him as I was not certain which of the 3 cars I had investigated I would purchase and I said I would be making a decision over the weekend (I stopped by on Friday). I called on Saturday morning and set up an appointment to purchase the Accord. He asked about timing as he was having a very successful day. When it looked like he would be running late, he called and we set a later time. He made sure the car was detailed and full of gasoline, even though the dealership had run out of gas for purchasing customers. We were unable to go over all of the options on the day of purchase, but made arrangements to do so in the next week. I look forward to having him teach me about my car as he is sunny and a pleasure to deal with. The financial dealings were also done quickly and easily. Don is a pleasure to work with and he explained the recall and checks well. However, I again had some trouble getting back to the dealer to pick up my car. I didn't need the car the next morning and recall and checks well. However, I again had some trouble getting back to the dealer to pick up my car. I didn't need the car the next morning and Dan had advised me I may need to get my own ride back. I couldn't arrange a ride with a neighbor so I took the bus the next morning. This happened before when I had the timing belt replaced, but I was told that someone would pick me up that time. But they were short-handed and I had to find a way there on short notice. Concerning the quality of work, I couldn't watch them work on my car, so I really don't know if the work was done. The car has run well, so I guess they actually did the work. (Click and Clack on radio claim you get a new oil filter only about half the time.) Sorry to be so skeptical. Actually I do like you guys. More
My car got broken into a few weeks ago and Doug helped me get it all put back together. It looks like the day I bought it now. He was very friendly, and the work got done quickly. Germain preserves the quality of customer service I had come to expect from Howard Cooper, the former owner. The prices for service have always been a bit high and I have accepted this and had all of the come to expect from Howard Cooper, the former owner. The prices for service have always been a bit high and I have accepted this and had all of the maintenance for my now 16 year-old Honda Odyssey done at HC because of the quality of the work. The fact that this vehicle is still running extremely well with 166,000 miles on it attests to the consistent quality of their work. It costs much less to keep this van going than it would to buy a new one. In fact, it looks as if it will be done in by body rust, obsolescence of the safety features or inavailability of parts long before I would have to abandon it due to insurmountable mechanical failure. It just won't stop. And, just to be clear, the drop to an overall 'good' rating is due to the 'ok'-ness of the price. Not everyone is going to be willing to pay as much -- but at least I feel the price is accompanied by a sense that they are doing good and necessary work. More
Only thing I would have suggested was to go over what would be done beforehand. The focus was more on the price rather than what the "B1 Service" notice on my dashboard required and what the service dep would be done beforehand. Steve was able to have my car done within 2 hours, and he asked the porter to drive me back to Germaine to pick up my car. The driver (forgot his name) was really nice and friendly. He called me at the time I needed and picked me up at the appointed place. I?m glad that Germaine Honda is continuing the tradition of excellent service of Howard Cooper Honda. I've been going to this dealer for service for years and they always take great care of me. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They give me good honest advice that I feel I can trust. Ric took great care of me today even though it was just an oil change. He check all my fluids, tires and battery and got me back on the road quickly. Job well done! More
