Had it ready to go when we showed up, was helpful on showing us the history of the car, and answered any questions we had, always with a warm smile. He made sure the car was cleaned up and pristine condition when we drove it home. Truly enjoyed the experience, not your normal 'push push push' of used car dealerships. More

Salesman Kevin Larivee Went Above and Beyond My experience with salesman Mr. Kevin Larivee at Germain Honda of Dublin was above and beyond any auto sales experience that I could have ima My experience with salesman Mr. Kevin Larivee at Germain Honda of Dublin was above and beyond any auto sales experience that I could have imagined when purchasing my "dream car" that I had been searching for these past few months. I drove up to Dublin from northern KY to test drive a few cars that fit most of my criteria. When one car looked quite promising as one to purchase, there were still a few, well several, items that I wanted to be addressed, even though the car was pretty amazing as is. I asked for a few cosmetic repairs to be done. Mr. Larivee promised what he believed he could deliver and said he has been doing this so many years that he never promises what he knows cannot be delivered. I still hesitated as I was being very picky, as again this was sort of my "dream car." I was to make a return trip shortly thereafter, but was prepared to walk away if a few things were not taken care of. So not only were the cosmetic repairs made, but Mr. Larivee also made a couple other improvements as well. My 2015 Honda was nearly perfect and I am so happy that I had the patience to hold out for such a high quality car in excellent condition, because I had almost purchased other cars that were far lesser in value and condition than the one I did buy from Germain Honda of Dublin. Also, as a woman purchasing a car, Mr. Larivee was extremely respectful and informative and never talked down to me. Poor Communication and Follow Up Purchased a used car last month. Dissatisfied on many levels, but I'll break it down to three. 1. I originally intended to pay by check, but the Purchased a used car last month. Dissatisfied on many levels, but I'll break it down to three. 1. I originally intended to pay by check, but the Business Mgr, James Howald, suggested financing. I said I'd consider that, and he said he'd hold the check a couple of days until I made a decision, which was appreciated. I got back to him 2 days later and told him I'd proceed with financing. He pulled my credit and gave me some approximate monthly payments. Ultimately, I felt more comfortable dealing with my local bank (I live 80 miles from the dealership), where I could handle financing face to face and avoid endless emails. I made financing arrangements and emailed Mr. Howald, requesting that he fax a revised purchase agreement to the branch (the original one did not reflect the deposit I had made, and the bank needed a correct agreement to process the loan). Once received, Germain would have been paid immediately. 2 days passed, and the bank advised they hadn't received the revised agreement, which probably could have been processed in minutes. I left a voicemail for Mr. Howald asking him to follow up, and received no response. No return call, no fax sent to the bank, zero communication. The next day I checked my bank, and discovered my check had been cashed. Since Mr. Howald had been non communicative, I left a voicemail and sent an email to the General Mgr, Craig Ferguson, hoping he could get me some answers as to what happened and why. Neither message was even acknowledged. The next day, I received a weak email explanation from Mr. Howald. He never did explain his total lack of communication, lack of follow up, or why I was left in the dark about something so important. Whether or not Germain was within their rights in cashing it, there is no excuse for ignoring a customer's requests, calls, and emails. 2. I was promised 2 accessories that were missing from the car. It took multiple follow ups on my end to get the first one shipped to me - I didn't receive it until 4 weeks after I picked up the car. I was told the second item (owners manual) was ordered a month ago. Still waiting for that. Again, poor follow up and communication on the part of the salesman, Kevin. I'm the customer, and don't feel I'm the one who should be doing all the follow up. 3. Finally got the title 4 weeks after I got the car. However, it was a memorandum title, showing a lienholder (there is no lienholder, it was paid for in full). In addition, the sales tax on the title showed less than what I actually paid. So, I had to make another series of calls to your title clerk to get it straightened out. 5 weeks after delivery of the car, I finally received the correct title. Doesn't this paperwork get checked before it gets sent to customers? Germain failed on all levels - customer service, communication, follow up, common courtesy, competence. A very negative and disappointing customer experience I won't forget. Like they say, "buyer beware." More
