There is a possibility that our technician damaged your vehicle while installing an exterior trim piece. The reason we say “possibly”, is that your vehicle arrived in our service department several months after purchase, with loose and missing clips. This normally would indicate a previous repair attempt elsewhere. Regardless of the cause, our primary concern was to provide you with good service and address your concern. You requested that we completely replace the entire rear trunk hatch assembly. Standard practice would be to repair, not replace the panel for a minor cosmetic issue. We paid to have the indentation removed using paintless dent removal, but you were unhappy with the results. We then offered to send the vehicle to a Honda Certified Pro shop to be repaired. We have a video of you inspecting the complimentary loaner vehicle before you left our service department. When you noted the vehicle’s condition, you listed a small scratch on one wheel and no other damage. This was done before accepting the courtesy loaner. You signed a rental agreement, assuming full responsibility for the vehicle. When we asked that you return our courtesy loaner, you called the Collier County Sheriff's department. When the Sheriff arrived, He required you to return our vehicle and leave in your Civic. He also noted the damages to our car. The damages our loaner car incurred while in your possession was more than $1,500. As a goodwill gesture, we considered absorbing the expense for the damages caused to our vehicle. We are reconsidering our generosity due to your recent disparaging posts on social media. We wish you the best. Steven Hill General Manager
