Excessive Oil Consumption I took my 2008 Camry in because of a letter I had received from Toyota for Excessive Oil Consumption. I had the test performed but am very unhappy wi I took my 2008 Camry in because of a letter I had received from Toyota for Excessive Oil Consumption. I had the test performed but am very unhappy with the results. I am told that it is 'NORMAL' to have to add 1 - 2 quarts of oil between oil changes like I have had to do for over the past 15 months. My response ... are you smoking crack?? I have never had to add oil to any vehicle I have ever owned between oil changes. And, for that matter, I have asked everyone I have encountered at work, on Facebook and total strangers ... Basically, I was told that it is total crap. I have performed in depth research ... Toyota is well aware of the issue with the Excessive Oil Consumption from the faulty design in the 2007 - 2009 Camrys but chose to manufacture and sell the vehicles anyway and refuses to accept the responsibility and repair the defect. I will never own another Toyota as I refuse to patronize a company that does not stand behind their workmanship. More
