i bought an 05 Nissan Altima from my Dad with 30000 mi on it. He told me that he felt that Gettel Nissan where he bought it and had it serviced had always taken good care of him. I have had two Ford and have had three service dealerships with them and have had problems with all three. That has not been true of Gettel Nissan. From the start of my relationship with the now service manager Charlie Apple I feel that he has always handled me with sincerity. Unlike with previous experiences, here they do not try to use scare tactics and try to make you feel that you have all these problems from wear so that they can make extra money off you. Gettel never has never done that. The same is true with Rob Kinnie. He will not write a ticket with services you don't need. It trickles down from the top. I obtained an extended warranty at Gettel and I like to follow a maintenance schedule so that I don't have dealers pulling the scare tactic ploy on me and I even was able to but I also like to ask questions to understand the maintenance schedule that is provided. I like to know what to expect as far as anticipating maintenance needs based on wear patterns and get cost estimates on the various services in our changing economy. Charlie, Rob and Derek, as well, have all been sincere, on the level, patient, appreciative and supportive in my efforts to keep my car well maintained and to feel satisfied, comfortable and confident about the maintenance process. At the same time, they are comfortable giving me time estimates for the service. Today, I had what I thought was a concern about some noises. I had an appointment scheduled a ways back but the noises were growing more disconcerting. I like to come in mornings and Rob and Derek and Charlie have told me that they want to take care of me and have me feel comfortable about getting out when I need to. Today Rob quickly grabbed a tech for me to go take a drive with to give it a listen. Rob, the tech, was a very good listener and patient. He also, did not wish to use scare tactics or make me feel excitable. He patiently listened to my two concerns and educated me. He was the perfect choice. It also turns out that Rob got me Rob to listen to it feeling that I would be happy that it was the foreman of the service techs to listen. I believe that should say it and that's good because that's all the time I have! This is the standard that I hold them to and I'm just your nice average 35 year old guy who feels comfortable in the process of doing it. Keep up the good work guys! More

I was assured by the Gettel salesman Dennis Morrow that he could obtain a vehicle for me from a nearby dealership in Port Charlotte, Fl. I would pay a $200 transfer fee and the car would be delivered by th he could obtain a vehicle for me from a nearby dealership in Port Charlotte, Fl. I would pay a $200 transfer fee and the car would be delivered by the afternoon. I had a USAA price for the car which had everything my wife wanted and more. True, the folks as Gettel found the vehicle and true, the veicle was from another dealer (not a veicle in their stock.) In fact, up to this point, if all went well, I would be writing a superlative review. However, the new car manager at Gettel did not want to TRADE out a car in his inventory for the car I wanted and agreed to pay to TRANSFER. So, my wife and I worked out the entire deal with Dennis and even went into the finance office and worked out all the details of the sale, including agreeing to purchase an extended warranty from Fidelity at $1660.00. The finance fella was very kind and cordial (I'm sorry I don't remember your name.) But, I asked him what the difference was between the Fidelity warranty and the Assurant warranty offered by USAA. He assured me the Fidelity was superior in every way. Sorry, but that's not true at all. In fact, the Assurant warranty through USAA offers the same coverage at a cost of $761.00 for 72 months/100,000 miles with ZERO DEDUCTIBLE. The Fidelity policy was for 60 mo/100,000 miles and has a $100 deductible. So the term was even shorter! Many differences not disclosed, but then he is a SALESMAN! We were told our car was "On its way" and that we could not use our trade anymore. We wanted to fill our time by shopping as my wife would use her new car to go to Boca Raton the next day and needed some things. We were given a brand new 2011 Altima SL to ride around town in and shop. Its not the color my wife wanted and had a a lot of dealer added options like nitrogen filled tires. So , after killing several hours, my phone rang and the new car sales manager informed me the car would not be there today and probably wouldn't be there until the following week. Immediately we felt betrayed as Dennis assured us the deal would go off without a hitch and we would be on our way by 6 pm. Unfortunately, I was astonished as I learned the fact was the new car sales manager tried to make a deal in his favor and the Port Charlotte dealer didn't see things his way. So, he did not care to consider that my wife and I would be out of luck and very disappointed. I guess he didn't care that Dennis would look like a fool. I guess he didn't care I would be writing a review to warn other future customers. I guess he didn't imagine I would find the same car, cheaper, at Bill Ray Nissan. I guess he didn't check his math because they made a thousand dollar error in my paperwork, in my favor. I guess they didn't know I would find a cheaper rate (2.49 financing at Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood, Fl. All in all, we can't recommend this dealership based on our experience! More

Took car in for 30,000 mile service - everyone was friendly and told me my car would be ready approximately around 12 noon. All repairs were made and they had a rental car for me to use while my car friendly and told me my car would be ready approximately around 12 noon. Prior to taking car in I was given a work sheet which gave me details of service that was recommened to be done on my car. We went over the work sheet and one item was deleted as it was previously done so didn't need to be done again. My car was clean and washed of which I absolutely love this service. In today's world not to many car dealerships do this anymore so I was very pleased. More
